    For half of the price you’re getting a MagSafe battery bank that will do the job better than Apple’s MagSafe battery bank especially for anyone who owns a 12 Max. With that said, there are pros and cons when compared to Apple’s.Pros:Faster rechargeIt will give you a better recharge.Battery charge indicator for the battery bank.Cons:The battery bank is thicker due to the larger battery.The magnet is not as strong, even on a MagSafe case.Gets hot while charging the phone.No reverse charging.The battery bank drains just as fast as Apple’s.Nitpick:It doesn’t show up in the battery widget to show you the percentage left.For half the price, it will get the job done. It’ll also charge your 12 Pro Max better. However, you will lose out on some extra features that Apple’s product will give you. Apple’s charger doesn’t get as hot like Anker’s which, in the long run, will be better for your phone’s battery health. I’d recommend it if you don’t want to spend $100 on a battery bank that is less efficient as the pros still outweigh the cons.

    I have used Anker products for a few years now and I have always been impressed with them. This unit is no different I occasionally drive a company truck for work which doesn’t have usb-c charging and that is one of the main reasons why I chose to get this charger. This charger is small and compact which is great because it can fit in any pocket and I love the fact that if I don’t have a charging wire I can just slap it on the back of my phone which is so convenient! (However make sure you have a MagSafe compatible case if you are using an iPhone) The only downside is because of its small battery it will not charge your phone to 100% (via the MagSafe charging feature I have yet to charge my phone via lighting cable) if your phones battery is lower than 25% but it will give you enough charge to get through your day! All in all I’m very pleased with this charger!

    I just recently got an iPhone with MagSafe, and I’ve gotta say this battery and accessories like it are a game changer. I can get about an 80% charge for an iPhone 13 pro from empty. It’s so easy and great to have around, far better than the old mophie-style battery packs. I wish the capacity was a little larger, but it’s pretty good. I got it on sale, but even at full price this or the newer version would be a far better deal than the apple version. My only complaint is that the magnets seem a bit underpowered, because in a pants pocket the battery often becomes detached. Overall not a dealbreaker, definitely great if you can find it on sale!!

    This battery is priced much more fairly and has a higher capacity than Apple's own MagSafe Battery. Of course, you won't get the software integration of Apple's battery with Anker, but is the software features worth an extra $50-60, while losing out on battery capacity? That's up to you.

    Anker's battery has a more than strong enough magnet that keeps itself locked into place, which would be a huge issue if it didn't. I have an iPhone 13 Mini, and this battery charged my phone from roughly 35%-100% and still had a bit of battery left.

    The thing about all MagSafe batteries, though, is extremely low charging speeds. Anker's battery suffers from this as well, I believe topping out at 5 watts. This is also an issue with Apple's version as well, though. I think eventually the manufacturers will figure out how to increase both charging speed and capacity in the future, but in the meantime this is one downside for me as you'll have to keep the battery attached to your phone for hours if you're trying to charge from less than 50% to full.

    Something else I like about the battery is how well it fits with my iPhone 13 Mini. It's aligned perfectly as if it were meant for the Mini. This makes the previous issue of charging speeds less of an issue, because using your phone with the battery attached doesn't feel overly cumbersome, in my opinion.

    Another nice feature with Anker's MagSafe battery (I believe Apple's version does this as well) is that you can plug the battery into the wall to keep it charged, then place your phone on top of it and use it as a charging pad. I believe you may even get slightly higher charging speeds with this method as well.

    If you're trying to decide over this battery or Apple's version, here's an overview:

    Get the Anker version if:
    - You don't care about software integration
    - You prefer a larger capacity
    - You don't want to pay the "Apple tax"

    Get Apple's version if:
    - You do appreciate the software integration
    - You only plan to use the battery to top off your phone's battery in a pinch
    - You like the all-white design and Apple's simplistic branding

     This magnetic battery pack is great for traveling; grocery store trips, going to class, airports, etc. The magnets are strong and the grip is good (passes the scientific shake test). The battery pack will bulk up the phone quite a bit; I don’t really notice it while using the phone with the charger connected, but fitting this into pockets may be an issue. You can just throw the combo in a bag until you need to use it. It doesn’t charge as fast as a normal magsafe charger or lighting charger, but it’s enough to top off or sustain your phone’s battery when access to outlets is limited or when you’re on the go.

    Great battery option for iPhone 12 variations at a very good value. I tend to be someone who gets a battery case for my iPhone. I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Since Apple hasn't released a battery case yet for my phone, I decided to give this one a try. So far I am quite pleased with it. I like the fact that it charges via usb-c. It also has a very good magnetic hold to the back of my phone. As soon as I understood that the wireless charger had to be activated (either by plugging it in or by hitting the power button), it has worked great. For the most part, I have simply left it attached to my phone since I got it. It supports pass-through charging, so I can just keep it attached and plug in the battery pack. I was happy to find that I could still fit my phone with the battery attached into the same pocket that I normally use for my phone, though your pockets may vary. While a battery case can be sleeker, I do like the convenience of being able to detach this easily whenever I want to. I think the only thing that could improve this is if it was an official Magsafe device and could charge at full Magsafe speed. That said, this has not been an issue at all for me so far, and I have to imagine that would cause a price increase. So far, I am quite pleased with this battery.

    ORIGINAL: It is small, and the magnet aligns well to my iphone, but the charging on it seems very slow. I had it attached for about an hour and went from 62% to 68%. The phone and device also seemed to run really warm, so there seemed to be something off with it. Will use it again a few more times, but if there's no performance improvement, I will be forced to return.

    UPDATE: Anker customer service contacted me to follow up on my experience. They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. They stand behind their product and are replacing the defective device. Great customer service!
