Compact, high capacity power bank to go
As battery technology continues to improve, Anker is consistently at the front of the pack when it comes to portable charging solutions. Just a year ago, I recall using a 10000mAh power bank similar to this one, but it felt much heavier and bulkier. Anker continues to amaze me each time I have the opportunity to use one of their products. If you're familiar with the Anker brand, you would be very familiar with the experience of unboxing this product. The blue & white cardboard box contains the PowerCore 10400, a MicroUSB cable for recharging purposes, and a mesh bag to store the device in when not in use. Out of the box, I was a little surprised that the power bank only showed 1 LED illuminated when I pressed the power button on the side, typically these show 3-4 LED's and arrive with a bit more juice, not a big deal, just an observation. The design is very simple, but I couldn't think of any way to improve it, so in this case simple is good. Black plastic casing with a simple ANKER brand name on the front, a power button along the left side, and on the top 2 USB output ports with PowerIQ technology (more on that later), and a MicroUSB input for recharging.I thought that because the power bank arrived nearly depleted, that I would finish the job by having it recharge my iPad Mini 2 until it was dead. Once it was completely dead, I plugged it into a 2.4A USB charger through my USB multimeter so I could monitor its performance while charging and capacity. The PowerCore 10400 is capable of recharging using a 2.4A charger, and my multimeter agrees that it does pull this amperage to recharge. This is great, because it will charge much faster than a charger capable of using only 1A. After about 6.5 hours, I checked on the status of the battery to find that it had shut itself off after being completely charged, and my multimeter reported having passed through 10434mAh of power to complete the recharge. Pretty spot on with the capacity that is being advertised. The USB ports on the PowerCore 10400 have PowerIQ technology, which means that they willl automatically detect the proper current needed to charge your device safely and quickly. In my testing it was capable of recharging my more power hungry tablets as well as my not as power hungry mobile phones quickly and without either the phone or power bank becoming hot to the touch. With a maximum of 3A output across both ports, this is a perfect power bank to have on hand to recharge both a tablet and mobile phone at the same time.Sample provided in exchange for my honest opinion and a fair review

Anker = Awesome. I don't use that word lightly.

This Product: Easily the best balance of power to weight ratio. I tried several others and they were heavy, clunky, and felt pretty cheap. Or they were small, but lacked multiple ports, charged slowly, and ran out of juice to quick. This on the other hand is designed extremely well. Best of all, it is small and light weight enough to keep in my messenger bag 24/7 all the time. Essentially, it does the job of the massive power banks sacrificing the perfect amount of power and heaviness in lieu of portability. Portability is exactly why I want a product like this any way. Plenty of power for multiple devices, rapid charging, IQ technology ALL in one compact design. All at less than $20.

Here's why I love Anker... They make excellent products and if you ever have an issue with them, they take care of you. Period. So, five stars for the company based on numerous products I have purchased from them. One other product (Anker Robovac) had a minor issue pretty late into to the 18 month warranty. Send them an email on a Saturday, they responded Sunday, had the replacement part in hand on Wed (shipped all the way from LA to DC)

I have nothing but positive things to say about Anker and their portable chargers. I own multiple of them and I have recommended them to many family members and friends.

They are durable, dependable, and can hold a significant charge for their size. This charger is on the heavier size, but it is still fairly light and nonintrusive to your space. It has two ports to charge devices with and both can be used reliably. I keep it in my backpack along with a slew of cords so I'm always prepared.

The battery charge is shown by four lights on the face of the device. That's where my only complaint with this item comes in. I wish there was an actual number to tell you the charge instead of just few blue dots. Minor complaint, but a complaint nonetheless.

If I could give this product a 6th star for the customer service alone I would. Bought one of these back in Sept of 2016, and it has been an amazing workhorse for me ever since. After much use, I was very sad when I ended up with the "blinking light" error other commenters have mentioned. I emailed Anker and they promptly offered to replace the defective unit at no charge. I absolutely have loved this product from the day I first got it, but the above and beyond, easy customer service experience has cemented Anker as the only brand I'll ever buy backup batteries from in the future (not to mention that I'll now be looking into their other product lines).

For the product itself - charges easily, can recharge my Galaxy S5 2-3 times from 20% to 100%, can handle charging 2 phones at once. Fits perfectly into the back pocket of a pair of jeans and is surprisingly lightweight for a battery pack. Comes with a great bag and charging cable. Great product, you can't go wrong with this purchase.

Love this item. Got a USB cable thrown in which I was very pleased with too.

I have an Sony xperia z5 premium. It manages to give it a full charge in just over an hour (with an Anker related USB)! Then still have about a third of energy left.

It does take a few hours to charge, but anyone who uses portable chargers knows to charge them overnight and charge them after every use.

I could be lucky but I dropped the charger into a sink and it still works perfectly too!

I use Anker for everything it sells as you know your are getting immense quality at a ridiculous price compared to more well established companies. I have reccomend and even purchased this item as a gift for a friend. Will be upgrading to a larger battery for my holiday next month.

Protection invisible. Juste parfait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prestazioni che non deludono, consigliata!
Reviewed in Italy on September 4, 2016
    IN SINTESI:
CONTRO: Non eroga tensioni superiori a 5V

    CAPACITA’ DICHIARATA: 10,4Ah a 3.7V = 38.5 W
    CAPACITA’ MISURATA: 12.5Ah a 5V = 32.5 W

5.0 out of 5 stars Prestazioni che non deludono, consigliata!

    IN SINTESI:
CONTRO: Non eroga tensioni superiori a 5V
