I like how sleek and cool the battery feels in my hand. Weight isn't really an issue since of course it is 26800 mAh. Glad this has a battery indicating system of 10 lights instead of 4 like my 20000mAh Anker battery. I think I will mainly just be using the quick charge usb option.
I love the packaging of this item! That sky blue type of color on the box with Anker in white. When you open it, there are 2 nicely organized compartments, the accessories (usb cable, wall adaptor, and pouch) and the battery sealed in another compartment in plastic wrapping.
I love the happy/not happy card, nice and simple!!
I will be adding onto this review over time for updates on how this battery performs!
Update: Have been on several multi-day hikes with this battery along with a 30kmAh battery as back-up. So far, loving the battery capacity and charges. Also fits nice and smooth into my pack. People complain about the weight and size, but they're just sissies who cannot see the great value or use of large batteries like this one. This charged my galaxy s7 edge over 5 times among other usb devices (smart watch, speakers, headphones). Still got to give it 5 stars for the aesthetic construction, compact size, slick feel and immense battery capacity! Anker batteries never seem to disappoint!
Newest Update: I took this on a camping trip recently, and I am sure the battery was fully charged before I packed it. I was in my tent, charging my phone and my camera and then everything stopped charging. I checked the battery and the led indicator was not working. Luckily, I had packed an extra power bank from Aukey in case I would be out for longer than expected. I tried charging this power bank at home and it charged. I check the next morning and it did not get any charge. I tried using it with the wall charger that came with the power bank and it did not work. I looked for reviews of people who had issues with this battery and I tried using 4 different wall chargers and a variety of micro usb cables to charge. The powerbank was not charging, and i have only had it for exactly a MONTH. I hope to find some electronics store to see if they can find the issue and fix it, if that doesnt work, I plan on contacting amazon some time for a refund. this is the first anker battery to have failed on me.
-Fast charging, on both ends of the powercore.
-Easy to read charging level at the press of a button.
-Comes with a great quality wall charger for extra value.
-Can be quite heavy to some folks (sturdy weighted feel, which to me is good but others may not be)
- Too big to fit in some types of tighter fitting clothing. (again, understandable since its such a high capacity)
Another quality product from Anker.
Anker advertises 9 full charges of an iPhone 6s which has a battery capacity of 1,715 mAh. That is 15,435 mAh total, or an effectiveness ratio of 58%. A bit more that the 47% rate I measured.
It is important to understand that the effectiveness cannot be close to 100% because a battery's maximum capacity drops over time, a battery never yields all its charge, there are losses on line when you charge a device, the iPhone battery capacity display is approximate, etc.
In conclusion, expect to effectively get only about half of the advertised capacity of the Anker PowerCore+
**Update** I discharged the battery down to about 30% and recharged it using a different cable. It charged from 30% to full in a little under 7.5 hours, so there is definitely a problem with the cable that shipped with the charger.
It's a bit bulky, but that's to be expected with so much capacity. Depending on your needs, you might also consider purchasing one of the hard cases rather than the included (soft) carry bag. But the bottom line is that if you're going off the grid for a while and need your mobile devices, this beast should give you several days (or even a week) of power.
Top international reviews
Don't expect it to recharge quickly though - it takes several hours to charge up (which is to be expected for such a larger battery) and it doesn't charge up your computer super fast.
Overall I'm impressed with the battery as it seems to be of the same value as the Mophie but for a fraction of the price. I considered the RAV 26800 unit but chose this one because some of the RAV reviews complained that if you left your devices plugged in, they would start charging the battery; this Anker doesn't do that.
* Device S8+ with a 3500 mAh battery.
* Overall i got 6 full charges (always charged through quick charge port (green port)
* Avg amt batt.% that needed to be charged was 93%. Avg time to fully charge batt. was 1 hours and 42 mins. Avg % per min 0.90%. Avg time per % 1 min 6 secs.

Overall very pleased with this product and out come. I have no doubt that i will be fine while travelling with limited access to outlets.
Hope this information help you make an informative decision prior to buying.

But reality hit home for us today. I purchased this power bank because we have two we already love with this capacity. We live in an area that often loses power and these banks have been so awesome. Our Autistic son has been desperately wanting his own so when I saw this product come up in the deals section I purchased it as a gift for him and mistakenly told him about it. I fetched it from our mailbox today for him and we immediately unboxed it. He pressed the button and I thought it was odd that none of the lights turned on as these have always arrived partially charged. I thought maybe it was from being in the cold mailbox, so we gave it an hour to warm up and plugged it in. No lights. We left it for 1/2 hour and no lights. We know there was power going to it because the cube in the outlet had it’s light on. We switched cords as we have two identical models that work perfectly. Again no lights. We switched cubes, no lights, outlets, no lights. By this time, 4 hours in we realize we have a dud, and of course my son is devastated. I think no worries pal, I have read lots of reviews where Anker has shipped out replacements immediately so I will call them right now.
The woman I talked to was impatient and disinterested in our conversation. As soon as she found out we were in Canada she said that Anker only had a “Label Maker” for U.S addresses and so she could do nothing for me. No apologies.
So now I have to deal with Amazon, and send it back through them. I guess Canadians don’t get the quality customer service Anker apparently provides.
There are plenty of other companies out there who have to have better customer service than this for loyal Canadian customers.
Update: I started noticing a sparking/popping sound from the QC 3.0 power brick. I contacted Anker and they promptly addressed it by sending me a replacement brick free of charge. It is reassuring that this company stands behind their product and their warranty is truly comprehensive.
Has an amazing amount of storage space. VERY Sleek looking. It also has a very solid construction with no seems along the length of it. The battery gauge is a nice touch (tiny LED lights in a circle) and it's not too bright. The finishes on every side of this is gorgeous. The wall charger is a very nice inclusion in this and it has a foldable plug for protection. The cable is a good length as well but could be a tiny bit longer. The Qualcomm quick charge port is absolutely amazing!
These are ALL minor but stuff I noted or suggested changes. I would buy this again in a heartbeat though...
A little bit too heavy and bulky. Too bulky for most pockets. You'll see finger smudges on occasion, not as easy as a phone screen but still, I noticed it happening. Just try to keep your hands and fingers as clean as possible to minimize it. The bag it comes with is VERY well ventilated, think of a durable thick mesh with holes all over and definitely won't protect it from nearby splashes or spills. Thankfully the case is one long seamless case so that helps protect it with only the ports being the accessible point. But, if you're like me, you'll keep your electronics away from moisture anyway.
I would have liked to see some shallow, small, rubber feet on one side. I worry about scratching the material when I lay it on surfaces but hasn't happened yet!
Would be nice if all three ports were fast charge, but for that you need to buy the next model up (newer model)which uses USB C (with 2 way charge/charging) and multiple fast charge. That will set you back an extra $50.
Either way, good value and quality.
Charges fast, and holds its charge very well ... low dissipation when not used.
Great flexibility in number of devices that can be connected -- she typically uses it for her iPhone, laptop, and or Chromebook.
Great purchase and wouldn't hesitate to order again if needed.
