Its plastic has a soft feel to its and its rounded corners go well with pockets or even just holding in your hand, its a tough little thing too, survived a few drops already. I love the little pouch it comes with, if you look you can actually read the power level indicator through the pouch so you dont even have to take it out to check it or use it.. Ive used it to charge literally 3 and a half people phones before it finally gave out, run LED strips for DAYS straight, even charge my vape. the only reason to consider anything else in this capacity range would be if you have a qualcomm quickcharge capable device. In that case id recommend checking out the PC speed 10000 QC with the blue usb, its about $10 more and it adds the ability to use high speed quick charging. Ive tested it and it works great, activating quick charge mode and giving my phone a quick boost. The PC speed 10000 QC is roughly 1/4 inch longer than the PC10000 but identical otherwise and its not noticeable unless you directly compare them. Both of these are premium devices at a bargain price so hit buy it now!
As it turns out, this is a great little charger that has come in handy more than once for when the power goes out or when your phone is low on juice. Mine seems to run out almost every day, late afternoon when coupled with a thunderstorm or power outage. This charger has proven handy in pulling me through. It has a nice compact sturdy build quality and weighs about as much as a softball. It’s an excellent “accessory” to carry with my phone when traveling, hiking, geocaching, weekend jaunts or about town that fits easily in my backpack, drawstring sack, purse or jacket pocket. It’s your basic single-port one-device power bank that comes with its own charging chord. You have one button that powers & activates the battery status indicator, one input port, and one USB-A (IQ fast charging) output port. The 10,000mAh battery/milliamp capacity is perfect for a couple of full charges (1% to 100%) or bringing your phone back from the dead fully charged in the event of emergency. I haven’t timed it, but the charging time has been compatible to the wall outlet time which is pretty sweet. The actual number of charges will vary according to the amount of juice needed, efficiency of your smartphone, battery, applications, and other factors that affect the net output.
Overall, I have to say that for power outages and emergencies, this unit has proved indispensable. It’s also rather handy keeping me connected throughout the day when away from a wall charger. I am extremely happy with my purchase and give it 5-stars for well built, dependable (so far) and affordable.

It's slightly heavier than I expected but it's not hard to find that info on the product page. Other than that, it will fit in the back pocket of any jeans, in most front pockets (even in skinny jeans that I wear), it will easily fit in a purse or fanny back or a backpack without taking up much room at all. It comes with a little bag that you can easily fit the charging cable as well as another usb cable or 2.
For reference it charged my iPhone X 2.5 times give or take every time that I tried it. It will NOT be as fast as being plugged into a wall or using a quick charger, but it is still very reasonable.
Like most Anker products it's well built and will last a while and will always work (unless you get a dud :S). With that said, if you were like me and you're juggling the idea of getting a smaller one for compactness but worried about the capacity, or getting a big one with lots of capacity but are worried about bulk, trust me and get this one instead. It's the best middle ground you can find in my opinion and hits all those main things you want a power bank to hit.
Great for travelling not only while you're carrying your pack but also while walking around day to day. Good buy,

PACKAGING: I'm not usually one to care about how a product is packaged (as long it isn't damaged in transit) - but I have to say, Anker has done a superb job with packaging. Maybe not quite at the Apple level, but not far from it. As soon as you open the box, you get the impression this is a premium product.
BUILD QUALITY: I'm extremely impressed with the build quality of this product, especially given its very reasonable (dare I say low) price. It manages to feel very dense and solid, while not being unreasonably heavy. In fact, at just 181 g + 6 g for the included pouch + 14 g for the included USB cable, this charger is ideal for long day hikes or overnight hiking trips. Speaking of the pouch, this is probably the best soft carrying pouch I've ever seen included with an electronics product. It's made of a nice lightweight mesh, but which is lined internally with a thin foam padding that gives added protection against bumps and drops. The USB A port seems to be really nice quality, and has a great feel to it when you insert a USB plug into it. The device has a small 4-light LED indicator that provides information on the current charge level, which is very useful for knowing how much juice is left in the battery pack. While not charging or being charged, pressing a small button on the side of the device will activate the LED indicator. The only minor complaint I have is that plugging a cable into the micro USB port is a little more resistant and finicky than I'd like.
CHARGING: When using this device to charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (3600 mAh battery), I get an average charging rate of about 1.3 minutes per % (so about 130 min. to fully charge the phone). This rate is similar to what I get from standard (non-fast charge) 2A wall chargers. The PowerCore has the capacity to fully charge the phone about 2 times (sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more), which is expected given the 60-70% efficiency quoted by Anker on their website. In terms of how long it takes to recharge the PowerCore itself, it takes about 7.5 hours to go from empty to full (using a 2A USB charger). One nice feature to point out is that there is no on/off switch - when you plug in a device, it starts charging, and when you unplug it, it stops. So no need to worry about forgetting to turn the charger on or off.
PROS:
- Very well built, and seemingly durable
- Relatively lightweight, given the charge capacity
- Good length micro USB cable and excellent quality carrying/storage pouch included
- Charge level indicator
- Charges devices at a good rate
- Does not need to be switched on/off
CONS:
- Time to recharge is a bit on the long side. But it's not too bad, as it can easily be recharged overnight.
CONCLUSION: Overall, I'm very impressed with this product. It appears to be a high quality product that offers a great set of features. No, it doesn't have Quickcharge capability (either for charging or for being charged), but given its low price, it offers excellent value. Unless Quickcharge is important to you, I would highly recommend this battery pack.
