Don't let the reviews fool you, I purchased this cable on 4/2/16 and in 3weeks it started falling apart, supposedly its newly reinforced, that is a bunch of C*** I've been an anker fan for a while now and purchased countless cables 8 to be exact and about 5 battery packs in about 2 years, the quality is definitely not there anymore. Such a disappointment. My purchase can be verified through Amazon. See pics below..

Great cable, great price, fits iPhone 6S Lifeproof case

Excellent cable. Durable and fits the iPhone 6S lifeproof case!
For those of you who want to know, the measurements of the cable end are:
0.209" x 0.3932" (via calipers)
The measurements of the power hole on the iPhone 6S lifeproof case are:
0.245" x 0.430" (via calipers)

I haven't had any "unrecognized cable" issues.

One of the features I like about the cable is that the Lightning plug is a little longer than the original Apple cable which allows me to better grab it to unplug instead of having to pull the cord.

I felt confident on the purchase based on Wirecutter's recommendations but now that I've been trying to hail Anker I've gotten ZERO response from them - not even a no/yes anything. I've tried two different email addresses (marketing@anker.com) and (support@anker.com) but after 20+ days of incognito I tried their very active Twitter account only to be left dumbfounded. I've gotten better response times from a 3rd party seller with bad ratings.

In the last year I've ordere and tried at least 6-7 different lightning cables from many different brands. They all claim to be certified and guaranteed to work. Most failed afte a week or didn't work at all but because they were less that $10 I was to lazy to return them. I've wasted a lot of money to the point where my wife has told me to stop buying these generic cables. Well I'm happy to say this is the first cable that worked as advertised. I love the 6ft length it's perfect to stay plugged in and play. It's been about 2 weeks now and all 3 cables I purchased all work with zero issues. If you are considering another cable don't do it buy this one you won't regret it

The Best And Most Well-Constructed Lightning Cable

Anker is a company established by ex-Googlers. This told me that I should have a certain level of expectations when buying their products.

This product (and many of their other products) is filling in a great need for the phone accessories market: great design, excellent build quality, with an affordable price. Honestly, I don't know how they manage to get this trifecta; I think there must be some Google Glamouring involved..

I bought a red Lightning cable. The red color is the standard red color one gets for most products. The color was also chosen so I could run this cable on my crimson red living room shag rug where it won't stand out as much as a white cable, and it makes it convenient for guests to charge as necessary.

— PRODUCT HIGHTLIGHTS —
• MFi certified, which means it's Apple approved
• Kevlar is used in the construction of the fibers, which makes it stronger than other cables
• Dual-layer sheathing, for a more durable cable and increased protection
• Reinforced stress points at each end, will withstand more wear and tear from bending

This cable is a fantastic design with a great price. It is constructed thicker, and priced less than the Lightning cable Apple provides for your iDevice. This means that: A) Apple is making a heck of a lot of money from cables, and B) You should be buying this cable instead.

Get one, or two, or three extra cables today, one for every room in the house. It's a lot more affordable now. Recommended.

A very well made cable; one you'll be very happy with.

As an owner of various Anker products, I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I am offering a fair and honest review of the Anker PowerLine (6ft) Apple MFi Cable.

I’m very impressed with the quality of this cord. You will immediately notice that feels thicker and initially a little more stiff than other cables that you may purchase. And, this is a good thing. It’s a sign of what you’re getting for your money; a quality cable made of quality materials and with a quality design.

It’s regrettable that a cable like this wasn’t around some years ago. I can’t tell you how much money I’ve spent trying to save a buck or two, getting some knock-off Apple cable from eBay or Amazon. Just to find the cable would break in no time. With a PowerLine cable, for little cost I can get a cable that works well and I know will last me quite a while.

I’ve charged my iPad 2 with this cable as well as synced to my MacBook Pro. It works as expected. No pesky errors from any Apple device that it isn’t a proper cable, because this cable has its MFi certification.

When connecting the Lightening cable into my iPad 2, it’s sung as a bug in a rug – snaps in and stays in. Not like other cables I have purchased, where it falls out with the slightest tug. The engineers got it right when they designed the PowerLine’s connectors.

Also, Anker sent with this 6ft cord two Velcro cable ties, so you get some cable-management right out of the box. This is a nice little perk. Also, you can get this cable in various colors: White, Black, Blue, Red, & Gray, at least at the time of this review.
