The quality of the cable itself is good but it tends to curl up on itself which causes me problems. I have to keep pulling on it to straighten it to it's full length which tends to pull it out of the USB wall charger. Because of a back issue, having to keep getting up and fixing the plug isn't enjoyable. I bought the 6ft especially because of the freedom of movement the length would give me. This kind of nullifies that freedom.

UPDATE 3/27/2017
Anker stepped up to help my poor crippled behind. I was sent an updated braided version of the cable and this one works flawlessly. I'd like to thank Anker for reaching out so quickly and getting this resolved for me. It may not seem like a big deal but, with a back as bad as mine, having to crawl on your hands and knees to fix a simple USB cable at least a few times a week isn't what I would call enjoyable. Thanks again Anker.

This is how amazing Anker is and why I'm a customer for life now.

I bought this after buying my new Sony Xperia XZ smartphone and needed a longer cord for charging while in the house lounging in my living room. Like most people you set the phone on your stomach or chest when using so the cord bends to the left or right, and I noticed after a couple of months the protective covering at the connector head was coming off exposing the wiring.

I originally wanted to buy Anker's Braided Nylon USB C 3.0 cable, but at the time of this purchase it wasn't available in 6 feet, so I bought this one.

I emailed their customer support about this issue fully expecting to be told 'sorry, that's life, deal with it' but instead I got 'we're happy to refund you for the product or replace it.' Thinking i wouldn't get them to replace it with the braided cord, the one i originally wanted, I asked anyway and to my surprise was told yes, that wouldn't be a problem.

Gave them my information to send the broken cables back, and received BRAND NEW, not used or refurbished, Anker Braided Nylon USB C 3.0 cables a few days later. Cost me nothing and was handled in less than a few days from start to finish.

That's how you make a customer for life. You don't belittle the situation or nitpick, you just make it right. Couldn't be happier with my cables and plan to buy from them for all my charging and battery needs from here on out.

****UPDATE****

I was contacted by an Anker rep (and I didn't even reach out 1st). As I was saying I normally have great experience with Anker products and had just chalked it up to getting a bad cable. The rep had Anker send me a red powerline USB-C cord and this one works great!! When I needed a USB-C cord I knew that if you buy a cheap one you could ruin your device so Anker popped into my mind as quality power/charging hardware. The black USB-C cord wasn't good but the replacement is solid and the braided cable is made well. Even if Anker hadn't reached out to me I would have still tried another Anker product. Thanks Anker for making the situation right!!!

I usually have a great experience with all my Anker products. The USB C cord fit perfectly and felt like it was made out of high quality material. It worked great for about a month and then one day I plugged my LG V20 in the charge and nothing happened. (It eventually started to charge but I had a message on my phone asking if I was using an original cord. It charged but the quick charge wasn't working. It was super slow) I unplugged it and kept trying to get it to plug in. It was like something had slipped out of place and wouldn't allow the USB C to go all the way in. I honestly thought it was my phone and not the cord because of the other great Anker purchases that I had no problem with. I tried the USB C cord that came with my phone and it fit perfectly and charged the phone up like it should. The reason that I purchased the Anker USB C cord was to get a longer cord. The one that comes with the phone is only about 3 feet long.But it works, now I'm on the search for a new USB C cord.

You could tow a car with this cable

These aren't the standard chinacrap cables, these cables are the real deal. How real? This cable is like twice as thick as a normal charge cable. It's heavy gauge, you could probably tow a car short distances this cable is so beefy. If you're like me you break charge cables all the time because they get kinked or bent and then the wires pull loose from the head, not this thing. It's way too thick and the rigid neck of it will prevent it from kinking.

At first I thought I had a faulty cable, as it would only register as fast charging some of the time, so I contacted customer support via email. I researched some on the internet after standing the email and found a common problem with type c connections on phones is compacted pocket lint not allowing the connector to fully seat. The next day Anker replies to my email offering to replace or refund my purchase with virtually no hassle. After cleaning the usb port on my phone this cable has worked flawlessly and kudos to Anker for such a quick and courteous response to my question.

Works great with My Nintendo switch to play and charge

This is an awesome cable. I have always only used Anker for my portable battery charger needs so when I found that they made cables I had to get mine from them. I needed an extra cable for my Nintendo Switch and this works perfectly. I saw the review from one customer who said that he was not able to get the plug in and out of his Nintendo Switch without pulling hard. I have not had this issue with either lengths of the cables I bought. I like a snug fit so it wont pull out of my console too easily.
