PowerLine Micro USB
The incredibly fast and durable charging cable.
- Faster and safer charging with our advanced technology
- 10 million+ happy users and counting
Bringing innovation to USB charging cables, the Anker PowerLine is reinforced with bulletproof aramid fiber. That makes it much stronger than conventional cables.
We bent this cable over 5000 times and saw no damage or change in performance. PowerLine Micro USB is one of the most remarkably durable cables in existence.
Thanks to wide diameter wires and reduced cord resistance, PowerLine enables the fastest possible charge speed via any USB charger.
To maximize case compatibility, we made PowerLine's Micro USB connector as compact as possible, without compromising its durability.
Android smartphones and tablets, e-readers, cameras, MP3 players, hard drives, portable chargers, handheld game consoles and all other Micro USB devices from brands including Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Nexus, Nokia, LG, HP, Sony, Blackberry and many more.

Edit (October '17): the company reached out to me based on this review and sent me a replacement, upgraded cable that has a braided exterior wrapping. I will modify this review once I can test out this new cable and see if the longevity has improved. I'm quite impressed with their customer service, however, and so far wouldn't hesitate to do business with them going forward.
Second Edit (January '18): It's now been a few months on the "redesigned" cable, and yet again, without putting the end of the cable under undue stress it's shorting out. I've lose quick charge capability, and now my phone actually loses charge while connected to it. Swapped the cable for the ultra cheap one Amazon provides for their Fire tablets? No issue on my device and it charges quick as ever. At this point, I'm cutting my ties with Anker and their cables. The quick charge plug units I have from them (one for car, one for home) are fantastic and worth every penny. The cables? I don't know why they are having so many problems, but I would avoid them.
I bought 4 of these on April 8, 2016, and I loved these when I first bought them. I have a lot of devices and I've used them practically every single day. Unfortunately, in the past two weeks I noticed my devices were charging VERY slowly, and now I can keep them plugged in for hours and come back only to find they've maybe charged an additional 3%. So today, about 19 months after I bought them, and 1 month after the 18-month warranty period ended, the cables are officially useless. I'm disappointed and wish they'd lasted much longer instead of all failing at the same time :-( To be fair, though, I would probably buy Anker cables again, now that I have no expectations of them lasting longer than the 18-month warranty period. Just maybe not 4 at once.
Update - 11/21/2017
Anker's customer service reached out to me and ultimately sent out two of their new cables (the braided ones) to try out since the ones I bought . I'm happy with the new ones, but I'm even more impressed that they reached out even though the warranty period had passed. They get high marks for customer service, for sure, especially because they were under no obligation to do so. They get an extra star for that.
Updated: I bumped up the raiting 1 star because Anker's excellent customer service contacted me and said sometimes chords have a defect and sent me new ones to replace the ones I bought. I did not make it 5 stars because I will still not be using the cords. The cord does not fit in the plug like the stock Samsung one does from my s7.
I thought their quality would carry over to their cables but I was wrong. The cable stopped locking into the phone before the 1-year mark. Then the cable stopped charging all together.
The kicker is that it failed less than 30-days after the 18-mo. warranty ended. I contacted Anker to see what they would say. They told me to kick rocks. I can't hold that against them too much, but NOW I know to AVOID their Cables.
"Thank you for reaching out to Anker Customer Support. So sorry to hear about the problems with your cable! We register all defects and evaluate them statistically. These statistics enable us to identify any increased defect rates or concentrated product problems, so thank you for letting us know about this situation.
Unfortunately, your order expired its 18-month warranty on December 20, 2019. Since this order is already outside the 18-month warranty period, we're sorry to say an exchange is not possible.
Though we are unable to help you with a replacement, you can have a try with the following troubleshooting, which could possibly solve the issue.........."
UPDATE: The folks at Anker were very concerned with my experience and promptly replaced the cable quickly. It appears to be in working order. It is not my primary cable at the moment as I had purchased others to replace it. I can say that I am very impressed with the customer service at Anker. There communications were quick and helpful.

Bro I had this thing for a year. It served me so well and handled an entire year of use, but then it got scary.
I que up for a game in league of legends and plug this baby into the DEFAULT 2015 samsung galaxy S6 wireless charger. Not even a fast charger. Get into the game. A minute in im noticing smoke and it smells so bad like cigarette smell, but thicker and not quite as flavored. Just really thick smoke. I look over and notice the thing is literally a small fire hole and smoke from it. Immediately run to the outlet and unplug it. THIS WAS 24 minutes ago. (We lost the game in 26 minutes ayy...FML)
Included are pictures of the hole from the tiny flame and if possible the video I made during the game. Like...damn. Thing served me so well but if it wasn't RIGHT next to me, I think I'd have had a fire in my house. That's so scary. I can't afford a fire man
The wall outlet is fine and powers most things. The anker cable was plugged into the anker wall adaptor for smarter/faster charging. Which I plugged into the default samsung wireless charger. So I don't see how a fire should start, especially since it's all coming through my surge protector. It served me a damned year! Just wish there was...a fire warning? Or...ya know, no fire chance at all.
UPDATE: after working well for the first 2 weeks, it started to become iffy and i constantly had to play around with the charger and the cable for it to work and charge my damn phone. im just about at the point of giving up because it gets very annoying
UPDATE: Anker contacted me and offered to give me a free replacement and i just got it. tried it out. seems to work fine. if it continues to work fine. ill update this but so far so good. thanks again Anker
Completely dead, bought it in April it was already finicky in a month (just as the return window closed). As of the last week, it is completely dead. Very frustrated since it was purchased based on all the claims of durability and quality of construction in the product's marketing. No visible damage, just doesn't connect well into the phone (despite no issues with other cords)
Update: I emailed Anker and they promptly sent me a new cable which works great. Love Anker products: good quality at a great price!
It's a good thing they offer several other products to keep their company afloat because these cords feel as if they will last for an actual human lifetime.
Chuck Norris himself was heard to have said that he fears no man, but he fears the Anker Powerline Micro USB cord.
