This technically works but it does not hold a charge longer than my 5 year old battery that came with my computer. i followed the directions that came with the battery exactly and it still behaves like an old battery. but it works so I won't return it. other people might have had better luck with this battery but not me.

Working great so far. Be sure to follow the instructions on fully charging for maximum use. This battery even has health ratio of 101%. Who knows, it might even out perform the original apple battery. Thank you for making great products for a reasonable price.

Installed on late 2009 MacBook
I admit, it's still a little early to give a full review, but so far I have no complaints. The installation was simple enough that most people with a steady enough hand should be able to install it. The battery obviously lasts much longer than my previous one (since the old one basically no longer worked; the laptop had to be plugged in constantly).
I'd like to see how it stands up to 6-12 months of use.
This was a great buy though because I didn't want to pay the $120 Apple charges and my only other option would be to buy a whole new laptop. Thanks, Anker for breathing new life into my MacBook!

Battery came with the 2 necessary screw drivers to access and replace. The battery was packaged very well. I've got 14 charging cycles on it already. For initial break-in, I did full charges, to 100%, then unplug the power cord and use it normally until it reaches 2-3% before plugging it back in. Pleasantly surprised that when it gets to 5%, I've been able to continue using it for longer than expected (15 minutes +) as the battery slowly approaches 0%. At 0%, I've still got about 30 seconds to plug in before it shuts down.

got mine about 2 years ago. It started swelling (i know now) after 1.5 years. Replaced at at 2 years, as it would not power for more than 30 minutes. Did not abuse the battery ... info showed only 48 cycles on a 1000 cycle battery.

I purchased this in July last year when the original battery on my old 2010 MacBook was on its way out (it had nearly 1,100 cycles when I replaced it!). I've been disappointed by third party laptop batteries before but this one really surprised me! The look and fit are almost exactly the same as the original Apple battery and it works perfectly. Definitely look into this before dropping big money on an OEM battery.

2010 White Macbook: This month makes my battery 18 months old. The reason why I give it only 3 stars is that I have been having problems with my trackpad for over a year, thinking that the problem was my trackpad (I have been looking at eBay for trackpad replacement for some time now). I came across this article the suggested that a swollen battery can prevent the trackpad from clicking. (http://www.manu-j.com/blog/macbook-trackpad-not-responding-working-battery-blame/379/). Upon removing the battery, my trackpad worked normal again! I inspected the battery, and sure enough there is a slight swelling of the battery. I have read other users of Anker batteries (on other Mac laptop models experiencing the same thing: swollen batteries). I fixed the problem by placing some painters blue tape on the frame in the compartment where the battery sits (trying to make room on how the battery fits up against the trackpad). I had to put several layers of tape (made them square shape) inside the compartment and kept on testing the trackpad until I got the trackpad to work almost back to normal. I reinstalled the battery screws (not too tight), and again used the painter tape over each screw, so if anything came undone, the screw won't come out of screw hole. I know that this is a temporary fix, and I should think about getting a new battery. I'm hoping this will buy me some time until my next battery purchase.

Update: December 7, 2015: Impressive company. Even though my battery was beyond the warranty period, Anker Customer Support contacted me and was happy to replace my battery. The new battery is now in place, and my track pad is working without any clicking issue. Thank you Anker Customer Support. I'm very impressed with you company and will continue to buy and refer to your company.
