This USB hub is so slim!! Hands down the lightest little thing I've seen for a HUB. Extremely lightweight and portable. I personally love the fact it has a long extended cord range so it's not dangling beside the laptop. Has plenty of cord length to keep on the desk close by! The design factor makes sense as it's easy to setup and throw in your laptop bag. Functionality it works well. When you actually get it in your hands your 1st thought would be 'this isn't going to be durable' due to its lightweight size. I use this in my mobile music studio setup and everything I've plugged in functions great. I haven't tried plugging in my 1TB external hard drive in this unit as I prefer to do direct to laptop USB for heavy usage items like that. What I have plugged in was the following. External type keyboard, wired mouse, 25 key midi keyboard and my akai midi pad controller. All Functional and no lag from what I've been able to find. Hope this information helps some of you. In the end you'll enjoy the USB cord extention length the most. Hard to find hubs with this long of cable within this price point. No noise issues as well. Quiet as a mouse. Loll. I purchased one of these Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hubs a little over 2 years ago and I utilize it everyday, (with all four ports engaged at all times). The product has Never Once Failed.I made the mistake recently of being drawn to a sale for a competitor's similar product, at 70% off. I purchased that device and it began to fail in 2 weeks of daily usage. Sometimes you truly get what you pay for.I highly recommend this Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, it works seamlessly out of the box and is a true workhorse. BTW...I just, moments ago, placed an order for a second Anker Hub, and I believe that to be a rather strong endorsement.
