Top Customer Reviews
The hardware keys (volume, brightness, etc.) are recognized properly on a Mac out of the box with no software install to mess with. I was also able to successfully pair and use this keyboard with my Samsung Galaxy Tab III and my iPhone 4S. The recharge feature is a welcome bonus at this price point, although the micro USB cable it comes with could stand to be a bit longer; two feet is kinda short. Speaking of charging, I am very impressed with the battery life of this keyboard so far. I have used it exclusively for 3 10+ hour work days and my computer is still reporting that the keyboard has a 100% charge. To be honest, I'm starting to wonder if it could be reporting that incorrectly. The keyboard is slightly thicker at the back (top) than the bottom, so it has a slight angle to it when laying flat on the table. The net effect of this is similar to keyboard feet on a full size. The rubber pieces on the underside of the keyboard are nice and grippy and keep the keyboard where you put it. If I have one negative, which isn't really a negative because this keyboard isn't designed to do device switching, it's that you can only pair one device at a time. I bought this to replace an Amazon Basics bluetooth keyboard that went belly-up on me. It was fine, but this costs about the same and is much better. If you're in the market for a bluetooth keyboard, you can't do better for this kind of money.
Update 6/16/15: The customer service is top notch! There was a defect with the keyboard and Anker's customer service agents were very prompt ensuring that I was taken care of. They helped me trouble shoot the problem, and although it didn't work, they immediately made sure I was able to return the item so that they can exchange it for me. I received the new keyboard quickly and am still pleased with the product.

I would have given it five stars but, when I got it, I also got the Arteck and the Airfox keyboards of the same size, that I also bought on Amazon. In my personal opinion, the Anker was the weakest of the three. The Arteck and Airfox units have a better overall design; they are slimmer, have a more premium feel (with stainless steel trim on the bottom), and are generally more comfortable to type on, for me at least.
*** UPDATE 04/05/2017 ***
I still prefer the Arteck and Airfox keyboards over this model, but I wanted to separately note the good response I received from Anker. Upon seeing the negative review I posted, they sent me a message expressing their dismay that I didn't prefer their keyboard, and unconditionally offered (among other things) a $10 credit on other Anker products. It was not conditional (at all) on editing this review, either, and they didn't even suggest that I do so. I never responded so the offer is probably gone by now, but I wanted to point out Anker's response, as it reflects quite well on the company.
AND, mine doesn't hold a charge for long. Maybe an hour, tops. I've had it now for about 2 weeks and thought maybe I simply didn't charge it long enough when I got it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. So, I keep it plugged into a USB port on the back of my mac to stay charged...like an old wired keyboard, which also defeats the purpose of its supposed wireless claim. I am sick of having a pile of keyboards (I can't bring myself to toss the old ones when this one doesn't work reliably) and wires around my desk.
The reviews are glowing, so I imagine I received a rare dud. It happens. I would buy another Anker product, though - I bought an Anker bluetooth keyboard for my iPad 2, and other than the position of the "sleep" key being too close to the "backspace" key (apparently the backspace key is the most popular key on my keyboard), causing me to accidentally close my work down, I'm really very happy with the iPad keyboard. I holds a charge FOREVER (months, if not more), and I've even used the Anker iPad keyboard to log in after rebooting my computer, since this new keyboard is unreliable after a reboot. Not always. Just some of the time.
I think I'm going to give this one until the end of the day today to see if I can figure out if this keyboard is salvageable. I may return it.
