I made a pull apart cake of an anime character with cupcakes for a party. I made a ton of buttercream and the colors were vivid. I even used the whole tube of black with about 3-4 batches of vanilla buttercream. I did the trick where you microwave some of it(I did half) and add it back in and mix to get a really vivid black. I will say it took a while for the color to settle but I left it in the fridge over night and I even added 3 drops of a different black liquid gel the next day but it didn’t really need it. The skin tone was tricky I ended up adding way to much dye to the first batch and kept trying to fix it. I ended up making a new batch of buttercream and adding a little of the overly dyed batch(the background color) to the plain one and I got the right skin tone.
