From the Author
If you read my previous book A Mother's Choice, you know I'm a romantic at heart. While the journey may be painful, I guarantee love will prevail, and there will always be a happy ending.
Anna's Courage is a simple love story between two people who meet during a difficult time in their lives. Anna and Nick's story first came to me when my husband deployed with the army. At that time, we had six children under the age of 10. Needless, to say, it was one of the most difficult times in our lives. Even though I prayed all the time, I woke up every morning sick to my stomach with worry.
While this book is not about deployment, it does touch on the sacrifices of military life. Most importantly, however, it emphasizes the truth that family, friendship, and faith can sustain and uphold you when life knocks you down.
For this reason, I dedicate Anna's Courage to military wives everywhere, but especially the women on Hano Court at Ft. Hood, Texas. Your love, strength, fidelity, and outstanding margarita-making skills strengthened me more than you can ever imagine.
All my love,
Kristin Noel Fischer
