This book brings to light many ways we sacrifice ourselves without even knowing that it is occurring.
Very well written. Great content. Eye opening understanding in a way that will set you free.
I highly recommend this book not only for those who are struggling with an imbalanced life, but also for those who want understand life changing choices.
One other thing that really surprised me about this book is how it gently shared how everything we do has to do with saying no and how to say no tactfully in order to allow our brilliance to come forth and blossom. Understanding that when you respect yourself enough to make choices that serve your purposes, you are actually serving others purposes as well. I didn't understand the message at first; now, I will never forget this priceless wisdom. This is an easy 5 *****'s. Thank you Dr.Ann Brown. Lauren Vines / Bookmaster / Lauren Taite Vines
It is difficult to say no. Let Dr. Brown inspire you and teach you how to do so more comfortably.
Extremely thorough, with a workbook, links to coaching and places to get help, great Bibliography for further study, and so much more.
Not only a written but an experiential journey.
Your life will be changed if you get this book and work and think your way through it.
People Pleasing is an epidemic....why we bend over backwards to please the Toxic people in our lives
is addressed and understood here.
Your emotional, physical and spiritual history is explored throughout this book.
I have struggled with being overly accommodating to people all my life. Don't get me wrong, I like helping others, but it is so easy for people to take advantage of my 'niceness'. This book is helping me to respect myself more, my time more, and know when to draw the line and say "Enough!"
I am learning to be a little more selfish I guess, something I used to thing was a bad thing. But now I see it as simply recharging my internal batteries, giving me strength to do more, and in the end - to help more people on my terms!
Brilliant book... Can't stop referring to it.
