This is the best one of the series. But of course, it is! It ties up all the loose pieces. It puts you in the most precarious of positions and is the bravest of all. This book made me very happy that I started this series in the first place. Not that at any point I wanted to quit. Each book led me on a quest that I couldn't let go of. I wanted to see what would happen. At times I felt it was way out there in what Naomi calls her best friend's New Age ventures "woo woo". But some thought into all of it makes if feel that these things aren't talked about enough. In this last book, there is enough philosophy to make the concepts and fantasy combine to a realism one doesn't expect.

Please, if you like fantasy, mythology, thrown in with theology and great characters and plot, read this series. There are many good points to chew on and think about long after this last book is over. By the way, I already miss the friends I made in these books. I want to know what happens next. But it was a satisfying ending.

5 stars for this final book in the Pipe Woman Chronicles. This book is exciting and will keep you turning page after page to find out what happens next and how the story ends. It wraps up the negotiations between the minor gods and God and though Looks Far has another stroke and Naomi is kidnapped and almost killed, the story has a happy ending for everyone.
I give this book series a 5 star rating over all and it will remain one of my favorites.

Curious, I began reading Seized, book 1 of the Pipe Woman Chronicles... and kept going to the end, book 5 which wrapped up the story, and more. I loved the characters, and wanted to be on the team. A wonderful bonus was that I learned much from the author's research moves the story along.

The final installment of the Chronicles is a masterpeice of fantasy writing. As I was reading the series, I was wondering how Cantwell was going to finish the theme piece of the series and wrap up the loose ends . It was well worth the wait. This book, as well as the entire series, has kept me totally involved and interested. Don't read this book until you've read the others. It would spoil the effect. Great read.

Book Info: Genre: Fantasy/Magical Realism
Reading Level: Adult
Recommended for: people who enjoy alternate spirituality, Native American mythology, good stories
Trigger Warnings: kidnapping, endangerment of pregnant woman

My Thoughts: So, this is it. The final book. The ultimate denouement. I read these five books over the course of two days—Saturday and Sunday—because I just could not put them down and stop reading for anything. What an amazing story has been laid out before me in these five books, and I wish, I wish, oh how I wish that reality would turn out like this book.

There will be people who will see these books as blasphemous. I pity those people. I pity their closed view of the world, the lack of wonder in their lives. I pity their rigid dogma and inability to see the amazing multiverse in which we live. And most of all, I pity the fact that they could not enjoy these books the way I was able to. I wish to express ineffable thanks to Kriss Morton, who recommended these books to me, and to the author, Lynne Cantwell, for providing me such a wonderful weekend. I feel like there is something missing now in my life.

Those who are open to this story, definitely read it. If you are interested in alternate spirituality, the multitude of divinity that is out there to choose from, the Native American ways (among others), then definitely, you want to read these books. An amazing tale.

I truly enjoyed this series and appreciate how the author brought you up to date in the beginning of the book if you missed one. I am sorry to see the series end but will look for more books by this author.
