Dr. Michael Grant never socializes with Casey's staff, but taking Anna to dinner is only the first exception he's willing to make.
Overcoming a fear of dogs isn't Anna's only challenge. She must let go of her preconceived notions about men - Michael Grant in particular.
Michael feels certain Anna will turn him away if she ever learns the truth about his past.
Learning a lesson from God's unfailing grace, Anna and Michael must be willing to forgive themselves before they can both take, and give one another, another chance.

About the author

Recently I got together with a couple I hadn't seen in many years. "Do you still love to write?" she asked. I do! I don't remember a time when I didn't carry a notebook and pen around and grab every opportunity to jot down the stories taking place in my head. My books are tied to my beliefs and my mission is to advertise the best Book of all. I don't know you, but I know God loves you, and that's what my stories are about.

I found the storyline unique. I had just tried reading 3 other books from other authors and ended up deleting them after just a few pages. Then I started this one and couldn’t put it down. I will, for only the second time, follow this author!
When Dr. Michael Grant and Anna Brown meet, each have the impression they know the other--had they met before? What follows is a series of blunders, mishaps, secrets unrevealed, misinterpretations, fears, regrets, distrust, the past, and even the ridiculous to keep them from a relationship they really desire. How they overcome all this makes this a good read.
The part I like best is when she sees her goofy hat sitting on the bust of Socrates. Then Michael takes Anna outside and he shows her the garden full of pansies. I think I just melted inside and knew everything would be all right. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did.
Another review said that it was a bit preachy and "puritan" I disagree. I loved the fact that Anna knew what her convictions were and lived by them. The dialog between her and several other characters were great ways of sharing faith in a way that was unoffensive and yet real.
I loved that both main characters struggled with faith and relationships just like "real" couples do. This book was a great read and a good look at true Christian relationships. This was the first Diane Adams book I read but it won't be the last.
