This story is well written except for some needed editing. The characters are well described and easy to understand. The book as a whole is jam packed with action and adventure. I do recommend this story for age 16 and up. No sex scenes in it folks. No cuss words.
To someone who grew up in Ft. Myers, the first book was a little too much like a Chamber of Commerce advertisement.
Although, I do understand for those unfamiliar with the area, it needed to be that informative.
The third book struck me as much deeper. Just the right amount of local reference to make a former resident feel at home and long for times long ago, before Sanibel became so popular.
Being familiar with not only the area but the history & many longtime residents, I am impressed by the accuracy of the local details.
But, I stayed with it, and I came to like the hero a bit more.
The end was exciting, and did a good job of tying up all the loose ends.
