This book introduced me to an amazingly beautiful place I had never heard of before. The author is an amazing photographer and mostly let her pictures tell the story with only a small amount of text, including some relevant quotations from famous people.
Recently I have read other books which appear to use other people's copyrighted photographs without permission. It is therefore extremely refreshing to read a book which is entirely the work of the author, with her own photographs.
I look forward to reading a lot more from Deborah Carney.
