About our Organic Whole Psyllium Husks:
Psyllium Husk, also known as Ispaghula or Isabgol, is the husk of the Plantago ovata plant’s seeds. These husks are coated with mucilage that swells and thickens into a gel when exposed to water.
Our Whole Psyllium Husks are Organic, Gluten Free, and Vegan Friendly, with no added sugars. Add Anthony’s Whole Psyllium Husks to a glass of water or mix it into smoothies, breakfast cereals and baked goods!

I got to this while looking for a way to add fiber to my diet without all the extra sugars and additives that most other formulations have.At first, I took a spoonful of this with water. The trick is to not let it sit in the mouth but wash it down with water immediately, otherwise it sticks to the tongue/teeth.But then, I discovered it can be used in cooking. It's the best BINDER ever! Thickening soups and batters, breads (pictured), binding patties, even as an egg substitute in some recipes. So now I rarely have to do the spoonful thing, but I still do it if I feel I need the extra 'help'.Truly grateful for this product, and I don't say that often! (Paid full price for this, no discounts or promotions or any perks for this review whatsoever)
