Good results on my nails!
Updated review:I’m on my second tub now and I’m very happy with the results! My nails have gone from weak brittle and impossible to grow to strong and able to have some length. I like to keep my nails very short anyway but previously I had NO length and the tips of my fingers were always sore.Regarding taste - I now prepare the collagen with a cup of orange tazo tea and then mix it with a cup of Metamucil orange flavored fiber. This works well because the Metamucil is sweetened and has a strong orange flavor that totally overrides the fishy taste of the collagen and I need the fiber anyway!Previous review:I’ve only had this a few days, but I’ve tried a variety of ways to drink it, and I have concluded the best way is to put the powder with a spoonful of cocoa powder and sweetener and add hot water then milk of some sort and agitate using any method you prefer. This is the most drinkable format I found. It’s too soon to evaluate any health benefits.

I have been using this product now for about 3 - 4 weeks and have noticed some changes. The most noticeable changes are my hair and nails. The hair is much smoother and the nails are growing faster and just stronger. I even noticed the skin feels smoother and softer. Around the legs, the skin just looks smoother. I'm a long distance runner and in pretty good shape overall, but I have noticed the difference within a couple of weeks. I sleep better at night and my hormones are in check overall. This Marine Collagen has lots of great amino acids that everyone should be taking into their daily diet. I had my share of joint tightness, aches, etc... After all, with long distance running, your going to experience some of this. I noticed my muscles, joints, etc.. just feel that much better. It also helps control your appetite, since there is a good amount of protein.

As far as using the product, I have not experienced any bad taste, smell, etc... It's completely free of any odor. I use daily in my morning shakes which are blended. Also, @ night, I add to my tea. It mixes much better in hot liquids vs. cold. Once you add to a hot or cold liquid, you have to stir quickly. I have researched other products and this appears to be at the top of the list since it's also reasonably priced for the amount you get in one container. Also, the fish used is from the North Atlantic. Read all labels carefully!

Collagen is super important, especially for women as you get older. I believe it helps you sleep better, enhance your skin, etc.. It's just a great supplement and plan to continue to use. I would definitely recommend.

Thanks to reviewers who gave detailed explanations as why they preferred this Marine collagen over many others, I bought it....This product had zero odor and zero taste. I immediately took one scoop and put it in a glass with some acerola powder...a little stevia...then added a bit of hot water, stirred, then immediately added cold water which left no powder unblended.... Powder mixed well into the water and it tasted fine. I felt my hair and fingernails could benefit from more collagen. Given I don't eat beef and not much chicken, marine collagen seemed like a perfect solution. Just glad this has no odor, no taste.

Above is my review when I first got the product I have since completed my first container and I've altered the way I drink it. I add a scoop of collagen to a mug, then add very hot water, plus a few teaspoons of nutritional yeast...I then add a scoop of green powder. It blends very well without clumping if I keep stirring rapidly. Actually tastes really good. I've gotten to the point where I'm craving this beverage...It contains a lot of healthy ingredients. My very weak thin nails are improving and not peeling anymore and my energy level is amazing. My joints aren't exactly perfect as of yet, and I still have some aches and pains, but I'm about to buy my second container right now, so hoping for continued improvement. At first I didn't drink this every day, but for the past two weeks, daily. First time in years that I've had 10 fingernails all the same length.

Update...I wanted to try the bovine collagen to compare it with the marine collagen...so I bought a 30 day supply of the Amandean bovine formula...Followed the same protocol as with the marine collagen...a tsp of powdered vitamin C (non citrus based) mixed it with1 tsp of nutritional yeast and a scoop of the bovine powder...Honestly, my joints started aching from the bovine within t wo days......I don't know why, I don't really understand it but it's possible the peptides in the marine collagen are different...more easily absorbed, at least for me.......I'm going to stick with
the marine collagen...I feel it suits me far better than the bovine...I was always curious if these two collagens were
different...Obviously the way they work in my body makes a huge difference...

Another update. I have now gone through 6 containers of this collagen. I'm almost 78 and someone stopped
me today and asked me "what do you use on your face?" I really was surprised because I honestly have zero
wrinkles...no sagging...and I once did but my skin is obviously benefitting from using collagen every day. I
feel my arms aren't as wrinkly...You know that giggly part of the arm that can get wobbly when you haven't
been lifting weights...Well, I never lifted weights and my only workout is getting on an exercise bike or bouncing
on a rebounder. Only major thing I've done in my diet is to lower my carb intake and to take marine collagen
every day. I have since recommended this product to at least 6 people...mostly women who were looking for
skin, hair and nails benefits...My hair looks much better since I'm taking this product but it didn't happen overnight nor has my hair grown like a weed. I'm still a senior citizen and I don't expect my thinning hair to return to my once thick hair as a 20 year old. This is just a formula I believe in...I've honestly seen benefits in my
digestive system and people are remarking how good my skin has been looking....Lately I've just been adding
the collagen powder to water...plus a green powder, various different mushroom powders (by Host Defense),
a probiotic powder, a mixed berry powder, a squirt of lemon juice and I just drink it...Starts my day off with
nutrients....I still eat breakfast an hour or so later. I feel really good!

This is my second order. After my first order, I tried some other brands just to see if this was the right one for me. They were flavoured with vanilla and/or coconut, but unfortunately, they just didn't compare. I don't understand how they can be popular brands/products. They left a terrible artificially sweet aftertaste and never blended properly in my beverage. So much residue was left on the sides and bottom of my cup. I only found one with MCT oils that is tolerable and blends equally as well as Amandean.
This product doesn't have a taste, but it kind of does. It's not noticeable once in tea with a splash of milk, and I'd guess it's the same with coffee. You do have to stir it a bit and break it down if it clumps, but once it's properly mixed, there is no residue left in your cup.
I notice my nails are stronger, my joints ache less, and the most pleasant surprise is the impact on my gut. I have IBS, and I had no idea that this would prove so beneficial. Reduced bloating, slower digestion, and feeling fuller throughout the day. All good things. This is why I'll continue to take Amandean.
