“Ori Hofmekler has outdone himself and has put out my favorite nutrition book on building muscle, burning fat, and clearing excess estrogens.”
—Mike Mahler, strength coach and author of The Aggressive Strength Solution for Size and Strength
“On the Anti-Estrogenic Diet, I lost weight I had not been able to lose using any other diet. My hormones are balanced, essentially eliminating any PMS and peri-menopausal symptoms. This is not a diet but an eating plan for life. I feel comfortable in my own body for the first time in a long time.”
—Testimonial from Nancy Loeffler, project manager at Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, North Carolina
“Through a carefully laid 3-Phase protocol, this diet is designed to clean-up detox pathways, eliminate estrogenic foods and chemicals, and then incorporate anti-estrogenic foods for a long-term lifestyle change. Hofmekler still manages to allow many favorite foods but shows how to balance them with an overall anti-estrogenic way of life… Overall, this would be a beneficial diet for anyone living in today’s toxic environment.”

As for anti-estrogen, with the advent of the soy bean as "the ultimate super food" that the health food industry and government has labeled it (In 1920 soy milk was rejected as a bonding meterial for cardboard as the FDA feared that children might play with the boxes - The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's Favorite Health Food) estrogen and the resulting diseases cuased by excess estrogen have become pandemic. This along high exposure to other environmental toxins has become an incredable burden on our livers. Hofmeklers book not only addresses estrogen inthe diet but also liver detox and food sensitivity, even if his advice to eliminate estrogen from the diet were to be ignored the remaining 2/3 of his method would still have an incredably high impact on resolving any health issues.
I however found this book a little disjointed and not very fluant to read. All of the facts and steps are in this book to explain how and why you should follow his diet but they just do not flow together.
I do feel that higher estrogen levels are causing many health issues and this is a very important topic that needs to be researched much further. This book has just been the starting point for me to clean up my diet and get to reading further into this subject.
