skillfully arranged for guitar by the renowned author and performer Stanley Yates. Here he has taken the
solo cello part and woven it together with the basso continuo line in arrangements of only moderate
difficulty which, fit on the guitar almost as if they were written for it.
These pieces will help fill the gap in the guitar repertoire for music of the middle and late Italian baroque
plus these sonatas are direct and lovely, full of Vivaldi's Venetian lyricism.
Kudos to Mr. Yate's, who is well known for his excellent and original edition of the Bach Unaccompanied
Cello Suites transcribed for guitar, for this fine addition to the baroque repertoire of the guitar.
