Brown indicates every single step in the conversations from how to start to how to end. He gives useful tricks such as how to take or give criticism and compliments, and how to use the body language. He basically teaches the most important communications tools for any age. Also the book is well organized and the language is smooth. When I was reading, I also had fun with his practices. I recommend this book for everyone. We all have trouble in conversations somehow. This is a great guideline to keep for lifetime.
The book is clearly written, makes some very good points and does hit most or all of the "how to" for small talk. The problem is that I think everyone knows this and it adds little or no value to meeting and talking to anyone. My reason for that is I want to have conversation not just small talk, and I think that meeting someone and developing a meaningful relationship of any kind requires more than what was presented here.
Years ago I read a book that I say is the gold standard for conversations, small talk, meeting people, and all of life's relationships. That book is "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. If you want to master conversation or meeting people, start with Dale Carnegie's book.
