I like the characters and character development. Ms. Frame is taking her time and one never knows where the road could turn next. No insta love or insta anything. The pace of the story is perfect for building relationships, friendships and burgeoning trust.
I will start book number two shortly but the foundation laid in book one can hold up a great a deal of weight to build upon. I will leave my recommendations for the series in book three. That way I don't get ahead of myself and recommend it unwisely or too early. So hang on because I will be back to do just that! Look me up and I will keep you posted.
However, I can say great start! 💞👼💞
**I am not paid to pimp out Ms. Frame's books btw lol I'm just a fan**
Fans of romance get a little of everything in Anything But Extraordinary. There's the inherent sweetness found in all of Ms. Frame's novels, more than a touch of humor, a smidgen of sexiness, and enough plot and character development to make even the most devoted of book lovers sigh in satisfaction.
There is a cliffy ending...as stated in the book blurb...but it isn't a painful one. People freak out over To Be Continued in novels and I just don't get it--we don't all want 500-page books, amiright?! There's just enough in this book to give me the feels without making me crazy; a perfect resting spot as we wait for book 2!
...now I just need to stop myself from biting my fingernails and holding my breath waiting for A Life Less Extraordinary! :P
I smiled my way through this short book, enjoying every page. The writing is clear, and the characters are so alive that I feel that I might step outside and find them living next door. (I wish!) If you enjoy Janet Evonovich, you will likely find some similarities to her lighter romances in this book.
There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of the book, but it’s slight, and all of the major plot threads are resolved by the end. Some minor ones are left open, which sets things up for the next book in the series. I didn’t feel at all cheated by the ending, I look forward to reading the next book in the series with excitement. Mary Frame books do not disappoint.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book from the author. Her generosity had no influenced on my opinions of the book, and she made no demands for any kind of review. I raced through the book and enjoyed every page. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys light, humorous romances. I guarantee you will smile all the way through.
