Blocks arrived wrapped in protective paper inside a cardboard box. Unwrapping them revealed the blocks coated with a light oil. No rust or imperfections on the surfaces. After cleaned them up, they show a nice precision ground surface. A small chamfer is applied along on all the edges; no sharp edges. Unfortunately, I didn't mic them yet; but first looks show them to be high quality overall. I'll up the star if I get a chance to verify the tolerances.

UPDATE 6/13/13: I was able to verify the tolerances. All dimensions were spot on, when checked with my micrometer. Adding an additional star to the rating.

Holes are not perpendicular to the surfaces and seems to be drilled from two opposite sides and skew.
When they met inside the block, they are not match so that even a 8.5mm rod (thinner than 11/32") can not pass though.
Especially in 2" and 3" inch side. Bolts can not pass through the whole block. if the holes are good I will buy more.

Shipping from Amazon prime was perfect ! Product is not even worth buying. 3/8"-16 holes sloppy. Thru holes are not large enough for clearance of a 3/8" bolt ! How can you bolt them together? When put together holes don't even line up even if you could put a thru bolt in. I even emailed Anytime Co. before my purchase and there was no reply. Will I keep them? Yes, only to use as a line up block because of the inexpensive price. I will research and pay the price for blocks that do not have these defects for the higher precision needed for other operations and set up. Hope this helps some of the viewers looking for this product. Bottom Line- You Get What You Pay For.

First thing after cleaning I tested dimensions with a .0005 test indicator and it was dead on in 3D's and runs. However the threaded holes are not that good and can only be used for clamping to a table. For the price and delivery they are about what I expected but unfortunately cannot combine as a square or other shape for setup/test. Great if you just need to do loose quick setups or tests.

I use these for holding scale model parts in position for test fitting and gluing. They are also good for temporary support of smaller items and for spacing on 1,2, or 3 inch intervals. Be sure to clean thoroughly to remove machine oil BEFORE using them.

I bought these mainly for the purpose of squaring up my table saw blade and drill press table for wood working projects. They appear to be square enough for anything I will ever use them for. This is my first set of 123 blocks. I'm deducting two stars because it was always my understanding that the unthreaded holes in the blocks were meant to pass a bolt through them that could be threaded into the other block. The 5 threaded holes are made for a 3/8" bolt, which works fine, but the bolt will not fit through the unthreaded holes. This limits the configurations that the blocks can be bolted together in and basically makes the 18 unthreaded holes useless. It might as well just be a 5 hole set. Not a huge deal since I will probably never use them bolted together for anything, but still not the way 123 blocks are intended to operate.

I bought the 23 holes set just in case I would need to bolt them together for some reason. Now I wish I would have just bought a solid set with no holes.

I received these 1-2-3 blocks from Amazon together with a 0-3" digital micrometer kit from iGauging, so I decided to check tolerances on the blocks I received. The blocks were wrapped in a paper material saturated with rust preventative, so no need to worry about rust when receiving them.

I first eyeballed the blocks carefully. Machining looks to be excellent, with the chamfered edges of each side of the block of fairly uniform width, although finished to a rough grit. But you won't see a wider chamfer on one edge or another, or see a chamfer increasing in width along the same edge as you'd expect for really cheaply machined products with poor, if any quality control. All the holes in the block were uniformly threaded on one end and precisely located.

Now for the tolerances. The mike kit I bought has a resolution to 0.00005". The advertised tolerance on this kit is +/- 0.0001", which is why I bought these particular blocks, as most blocks only advertise to 0.0002. I found the tolerances on each side of the blocks in my set to be from 0.0000 to 0.0001". In many instances, tolerance was off to 0.00005" or less! I was hoping to use these cheap 1-2-3 blocks as calibration standards for my depth micrometer and looks like they are just the ticket. Even stacked to 6" with two blocks lengthwise, I might be off maybe 0.0001". Bought another set so I get hopefully get blocks off the same production run.

I use these for setup blocks and spacers for general woodworking and some simple metal machining. I do not require accuracy to the 4'th decimal and their advertised accuracy is excellent for my use. They appear to be very well machined and I enjoy using them. If you are a professional manual machine machinist, or a CNC machinist, you might prefer the more expensive blocks ground to 4'th decimal accuracy but these are perfectly fine for my general use.
