In hindsight, I should have chosen a pliers-style hole punch. As compared to the pliers-style I've had before, this requires more work to change the pieces, requires more work/pressure on my part, and the little pieces of leather get stuck in the "blade" portion. In a pliers-style, you can just rotate the wheel to change between sizes, whereas with this you need to manually take the blades/cutting piece on/off the handle. Also, the pliers style utilizes a lever-force so that you can easily cut through similar to using scissors, while with this you need to place the leather item on a firm/non-cut through surface, and either twist the handle through the leather or use a hammer/similar object to strike the handle to cut through the leather. Then, you spend time getting the little pieces out of the instrument.
Hope that helps
Just a quick note: do the punching from internal (non-decorative) part of whatever you'd like to adjust (mind the cone form of the punches.

These work much better than the standard skinny punches, but the tips work themselves loose as you're using it.Published 2 months ago by Peter McCarthy
Works great. I only use it for plastic that is ~5 - 10 mil (125 - 250 microns) thick thoughPublished 2 months ago by Nick
