Putting this together is a two person 30 minute project. Don't forget to take off the plastic film (I know it sounds dumb, but you're probably going to be high when you're putting this thing together. Obviously don't touch the light bulb.)

A 600watt will save you so much money in electricity and be way less hot inside your tent. But damn this 1000watt is badass!

At first I was skeptical about the price being so low. This product delivers good quality and a good price and I am impressed. There was an initial screw-up that happened with my order that was not the fault of the vendor. He took care of it and shipped a replacement as soon as I let him know about the situation. I would definitely order from this vendor again. Also, the umbrella reflector which I got does require some assembly but if you are patient with it, it will develop into a wonderful reflector with a wide area of illumination. A+ for LOW-BALLER!

Nice fast shipping. All as described in the box, I had read some reviews stating inferior products being shipped, Not the case her, all looks good and preforms well. Use daily, 18 hours per day, no issues. The hood is cheaper than the other models offered at a higher price, but I think this is a great deal.

These kits are a great value and the Cool Tube reflector that I ordered with the 4 units that I purchased is a very cool running "hood". Unlike rectangular sealed hoods, the Cool Tube doesn't heat the metal reflector, only the tube itself which leaves all that metal in the reflector hood at just one or two degrees above ambient temperature. I tested the hood's reflectivity with a hand held light meter and discovered that the output is not as bright directly under the hood as it is about a foot to 18 inches off to the side and also the full Cool Tube hood reflects light over a wider area than I would like, but I was more interested in keeping the room cool when I bought these than concentrating the bulb's output. The variable output ballasts are another great feature - if the room is getting too hot you can dial them back while you work on correcting the problem.

So i will start off with the bad if you can call it that. first off it was packed the same way i would have packed the box witch i thought was kinda cool. the only damage to this product was the wing socket but lets be real they are made cheap and flexible so that the user can focus or expand the light easily as they see fit. everything worked perfectly out of the box a minor tweak to the wing and i was off running. i loved this package so much i bought a second right after i got the first. a must buy if you arnt hung up expensive name brands ,nothing against expensive quality equipment, STUPID SMART PHONE CAPS STUCK. GREAT PRODUCT FOR LESS MONEY.

When it arrived the reflector had a busted seam, prob from shipping with other items inside of it. Fixed with 2 zip screws.
Will buy again.

What a headache... I bought collectively about 30 of these and just about every single one has been a problem. I have had two ballast stop working completely (which they replaced in about 1.5 weeks), I had two bulb blow up in about a week and I mean BLOW up. I had the glass in one hood randomly shatter and its not tempered. I also have my ballast running, but not power the light. They need to be unplugged to be restarted. I still have a hood with no glass and its driving me crazy because I have to go buy another brands hood and in short time all of these will go on Craigslist. They have been nothing but problems from day 1 and I would never recommend these. Im going to post the same reviews for the 1000w I bought as well.
