Yes. I applaud the contributors and editors of this new publication. It's a fresh look at the arts. And when reading it, the feel of the every day shackles of life sort of melt away, which is what good art should do.

Jesse Pearson et al are doing nicely with this. I still crave something saltier, scarier, less "product." Maybe it's going in the other direction than that though. Guest editors might help (guys like Adam Parfrey, who have been at this culture-baiting a long time). Still, two or three incredible pieces in every issue. I'll keep buying.

Why does Apology exist? What does it really do that N+1 (or w/e else) doesn't? The issue was okay, but it was more of an aesthete's approach to writing than a writer's approach to writing, if that makes sense.

Much too expensive, much too trendy, lacking clear vision of its purpose and reason for existing. A hodgepodge of second rate art and writing. A nice cover, though.
