With a very hard push to latch, rough ball valve spot and low pressure rating (what if I found leak and use pressure test I would need to take it out first) , it's not good for a high price item.
defeat the purpose of this tool, or most of it. I could unlock the valve core, but I could not pull it out. I even un-turn the farthest nut to let some pressure out to push the valve out, but it doesn't come out.
Also, when I turn the ball valve, near the end, there is a very rough spot and I have to push harder to over come it. I was worry the valve core was there and I was crushing the core, but that's not it. However, this does leave a chance that the valve core is laying there, and I thought it's just the "normal" rough spot.
I will have to return or exchange this, since this is not acceptable. I am doing the evacuation currently, so this really is bad for me not having a functional tool.
This is a can't live without tool if you must touch your AC unit even ONE TIME. Trust me you don't want to lose your Freon or worst yet get injured when the knock off explodes like mine did.
I already own Appion G 5 Twin which is the best and now this Appion MGAVCT 1/4" MegaFlow Vacuum-Rated Valve Core Removal Tool completes me.
Just BUY 2 and that me later.
I don't know if Appion redesigned the extractor, or if I am just lucky, but both of mine grip and remove the valve core just fine. Just be sure to apply a firm pressure to the pushrod, to grip the core, before unscrewing the core. Instructions are also included that explains how to squeeze the pushrod fork tighter, using pliers, if you want an even tighter grip. However I see no need to do this since the grip seems plenty strong enough without adjustment. Also these seem to hold a vacuum just fine, aside from some small outgasing which occurs on most valves and flexible hoses.
