The Apple Barrel paints aren’t top of the line, but if you aren’t trying to create museum quality work, these are a perfect paint to use. The consistency and opaqueness makes for an easy brush stroke with little need to apply multiple coats. It dries quickly, but not so fast that you can’t spend a little time mixing colors on your palette.

I’m an artist professionally, but specialize in watercolor. When I’m not working on commissions, I really enjoy playing around with acrylic on canvas. Since these pieces are for fun, I try not to spend a ton on the supplies.
