This is a great upgrade for an Apple Cinema Display monitor that stopped working. The OEM 90-watt power adapter isn't powerful enough to power this display with newer laptops. Upgrading to the 150-watt adapter solved my problem. I paid a bit more to buy it from Mac Premium Parts and I received a brand new OEM Apple adapter. Spend the extra money.

This item saved my business life! Thank God they still make (or have) a few of these replacement parts because Apple doesn't service the HD Cinema Display monitors any more. Hopefully this will give my 30" screen another few years of life before retirement. So happy!

I have been having a blinking problem for a while (for a few years)

I was lazy and reluctant to spend $250+ for the replacement since the monitor was working fine,

and finally the monitor went out so I had no choice but to replace the power block.

Somehow, it still occasionally blinks, which bothers me but the power seems to be working fine out of the box !
(if anyone knows how to fix the blinking issue, please let me know !)

i can find no other power block replacement for the apple cinemas now, i am scared that the monitor might become obsolete in a near future

maybe i have to buy some extras for the future before the price goes up even higher ??..

Turns out I didn't need this. It was my video card that died on me. I tested this out anyway once I got everything else working and it works great. Nice to have a spare since Apple no longer produces my cinema display.

It sucks that I had to buy this part for my Apple Cinema HD monitor because the 90-watt adapter (that came with it) wasn't strong enough to power it.
And Apple would not replace the part because it dis come with the monitor.
Apple's error at my expense ... again!

Resolved my Cinema Display issue. Especially now that the Cinema Displays are obsolete which makes there power adapters harder to find.
