    I bought this when traveling in the UK. I only needed the one adapter, but this is all they sold there. The adapter is just too bulky to put in my bag's front pockets. I found a much better alternative: AViiQ Slim US to UK Travel Adapter It's just a single country adapter, but it's just what I needed.

    Really high quality kit. It is important t note however that these are the converters for Apple adapters. Meaning, as with all other Apple devices, it's a proprietary design. You simply slide off the US plug from the white power adapter that comes with your iPhone/iPad/MacBook etc and replace with the plug from your country of choice.
    As much as I hate giving in to Apple's corporate strategy, these are truly high quality converters and will give you peace of mind in protecting your IPhone, iPad, Apple laptop etc. I have been using these everyday for the last month and they have worked well. They dot. Overheat and charge at full speed.
    The upside is that the Apple power adapters have that USB port to connect the cord. So you can use these same power adapters to charge other devices that also have a USB connection.
    In this kit you get the adapters for the UK, continental Europe, Japan, China, Australia etc.
    The downside is that the kit comes with the 30 pin adapter cord (like the one that was used on the iPhone 4 and the iPad 1 and 2). Apple hasn't upgraded the Kit yet for the lighting adapter.

    For most international travel you can simply use an adapter, costing only a few dollars from any drugstore or Radio Shack. We were going to Europe, however, with multiple Apple devices, and I thought this was worth the cost for both ease of use and for warranty purposes. It worked seamlessly. I would always caution to look into the specific adapters for the countries you are traveling to - It's funny how individual countries can have different adapters even within themselves. Back home, it packs neatly back into the box for the next trip.

    Purchased this prior to a trip to Australia, so I just brought along the parts I needed on the trip - the adapter that would fit on the block on my Macbook's power cord and the smaller USB adapter so I could charge my phone. I purchased this because I plan to do more international travel in the coming years and I want to use my Mac when possible to transfer pictures and communicate with the folks back home. I didn't have any problems with the items I used and highly recommend purchasing this kit. The quality is excellent, especially compared to the set that this is replacing. The prongs seem sturdy and the connectors fit nice and snug.

    Some have complained that this product is a bit expensive for what it is. I can't disagree, as I would have preferred to buy just the individual pieces for trips that I will take, but like all things Apple - we should already be prepared to pay more for their gadgets and the accessories that go along with them. To me it's no different than buying a $90k car and expecting the dealer to only charge $20 for floor mats. Or to go with a computer analogy -a cheap, new off-the-shelf windows based laptop will run you about $400, conversely the cheapest Mac will cost you $999. I'm not excusing the price, just pointing out that no one should really be surprised by it.

    In the end, I recommend this product especially for those traveling to more than one country - you will get the most bang for your buck. If you are only traveling to one country and don't foresee excursions to other countries in your future, you may wish to go the cheaper route and purchase a well reviewed adapter for your destination.

    Excellent quality as one would expect, but some issues. One, none of these adapters is on a cord; it is just replacement slide-ons for the standard plugs. Two, they are completely unnecessary if you buy a $5 physical adapter from whatever standard to your own, since Apple power supplies are 110/220 auto-switching. Three, the airplane adapter I got the kit for, is no longer included. So to summarize, exceedingly high quality, but you can get the same functionality much, much cheaper, and since these are made in China anyway....

    I bought this to use in Europe (and future trips), and I'm impressed with everything in the kit. In addition to the adapters, this kit also comes with a 12w USB plug-in for your phone (which I didn't expect).

    My only problem with this kit is that it's very expensive. While there are cheaper options, I know that some of them are more questionable and could harm your computer. I wanted to play it safe, so I went with the pricey Apple kit. I have no other complaints though; it works great!

    I purchased this for use with my wife's iPhone and iPod Touch while in China. I somewhat regret this as she will be using only 2 of the included plugs i.e., China and the United States.

    The plugs themselves are of impeccable quality, and appear to conform to Apple's usual high standards. This does count for something as you can often get what you pay for. However, I would recommend that only people with unusually diverse itineraries purchase this kit and instead get a general purpose adaptor for the countries you actually intend to visit as that will be much cheaper.

    Things I wish were true: I wish an airplane adaptor was included. I wish the individual plugs had their countries stamped upon them instead of having to look them up in the manual--some plugs are quite similar; the Chinese plug looks identical to the U.S. plug except for round holes cut out of the prongs of the U.S. plug. I wish it were cheaper.

    I don't believe the included power block will work with an iPad. An iPad has at least twice the power requirements of an iPhone. I had a short discussion at the local Genius Bar and the Genius told me that the connectors would work with the high capacity power block which ships with an iPad.

    Amazon makes a competing product which also contains an auto charger, the AmazonBasics Travel Adapter Kit for iPod; iPhone 3G; iPhone 3GS; iPhone 4 for about the same price. I have both, and I recommend the Apple product because of the flexibility of using the plug modules with different Apple power supplies, from MacBooks to the 2.1 Amp power supply of an iPad.
