Well, I like it better than the latest router. It isn't a huge "tower" and it lays flat. Plus, I didn't have problems with the light turning yellow like I do on the latest model. So I bought a couple extra of these things until Apple can make a better router.

I love this device. You basically get to set it and forget it. I have 2 of them bridged to extend signal to my whole house and i've had little to no problems with them. I did have to replace one due to lightning strike, that's my assumption anyhow since it did die right at the same time. I now have all all my electronics that we're previously on surge protected battery backsups...hopefully these will solve my past expensive mistake.

Anyhow I don't think you can go wrong with this roughter
Easy to setup using the apple tools that install on both mac and PC or use the app on your smart phone or tablet
takes advantage of gigabit speeds if your network supports this
reasonable range...could be better (why i needed to buy 2 and bridge them together)
stable operation - great up time...i think i've gone almost a year without having to touch them.

They are a little more money but you get what you pay for. I think they're worth it.

This is the second one I have purchased. My original which is a good 4 years old still works without a single flaw. I bought another one to not only extend the range of my wireless but also to have my videos stream flawlessly to my Apple TV. The setup is stupidly simple with very few steps. If your not tech savvy do not worry, it's very simple. Lastly an the most important part is the signal and speed is fantastic, and FINALLY something reliable. This thing you will setup and then just forget about it being there.

Purchased this router in 2013 thru Apple. Since then I have had no problems what-so-ever. Using it with Comcast Modem (disconnected Comcast router capability thru Comcast) and once configured, it it works great. Also have 2 D-Link switches for a total of 13 extra g/byte ports. Only cons is it isn't AC capable but connection speeds both wireless and connected are great. 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, DVD player, printer and widescreen TV connections. Considered upgrading to AC capability but this works W/O probs. Also used with an Apple express to extend area.

I have yet to get it to connect with my system; I wrote the seller and have yet to get a response. I'll get it to an Apple Store and de conflict the problem. The device is in superb condition but it just won't connect with my modem. I can put my generation 4 back on it and it boots up right away. I even enlisted the help of my internet provider and it still didn't work. If, they would have just responded - I would have simply ( in time) gotten another one. Just poor customer service.

It's an Apple AirPort Extreme version 5 bought used here on Amazon. Took 3 minutes to set up with my Mac and I also use the AirPort Express as an extender on the other end of the house. Love them both. It just works, as Steve Jobs said.

Another quality product from Apple. I have this connected via Ethernet just like 2 Airport Express and I have all 3 "bridged" with each other. 4 stars because Apple doesn't throw in AirPlay with this "Extreme" but does integrate it into "Express". So, be careful when choosing this since AirPlay is not included.
