The 7.9" Retina Display makes its debut on the iPad mini, maintaining its enormous 2048 x 1536 native resolution. At 326 pixels per inch, the Retina Display can show up to 3.1 million pixels at a time. The Retina Display is also a capacitive touchscreen so you'll be able to utilize all the multi-touch gestures of iOS 7. Its smaller form factor makes it easier to hold in one hand.

Came in a plain brown box. Included the charger and a cable, both of which appeared to be brand new.
The iPad itself was completely wrapped in cellophane type plastic to protect it from scratches and it appeared to be like new. Powered on fine and I was able to install apps and transfer music.
If you want to save some money, I would definitely encourage you to invest in a refurbed mini.
BlueTekUSA was the re seller I chose to use.
I wanted to upgrade my iPad mini 2 (16gb) to something with more storage but that wouldn't break the bank. I was glad to find the iPad mini 3 (64gb) certified refurbished here on Amazon. After watching the price and re-seller change for a couple months I decided to take the leap and buy. I am so happy that I did! I ordered with Prime (I always trust the Prime products more than non-prime) so it arrived in just a couple days. Came in standard, sealed, brown (non-original) box - which is to be expected when buying a refurb. New charging cable was included (not the Apple charger that comes with brand new iPads) - this was slightly disappointing but it's still a new cable and seems to work completely fine. The iPad itself was wrapped in cellophane-like plastic to protect it from scratches and appeared to look brand new - not dents, marks, or scratches anywhere on the device. I plugged it in and turned it on and was pleasantly surprised that it already had almost a full charge on it. It is the mini 3 so it does have Touch ID which I was able to set up during the initial set up process - the whole set up took a bit of time but it always does with new Apple products. I was happy that I was able to sync with my iCloud backup and all I needed was my Apple ID and didn't need my Mac or iPhone to get the job done.
All in all I am extremely satisfied with this refrub product. I have never bought a refurb product until now and honestly wish I had been less skeptical in the past and done it sooner! Again, a word to the wise, ALWAYS check your re-seller and their reviews and ratings - reading through all these reviews you can see that some people have been extremely satisfied with their purchase and others extremely unsatisfied.
UPDATE: I have had this for a year now and still have plenty of storage free (as the parent of a young child, you can imagine I have to store many photos and videos!). Also, I have kept it in an OtterBox and let my toddler play her ABCmouse games on it. She loves it! And even with the constant use, it still functions perfectly as if I had bought a brand new iPad rather than refurbished. Definitely worth the savings.
