Stay connected in style with the 42mm GPS-only Apple Watch Series 3, which comes with a gold anodized aluminum chassis and a Pink Sand Sport band. Designed for users looking for the next generation of connectivity, Apple's Watch moves your iPhone's apps and functions to your wrist, so you can do more while leaving your phone in your pocket.
Apple Watch connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth 4.2 and displays notifications, apps, and more on its 1.5" display. It can also connect directly to the Internet thanks to 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. The internal battery lasts for up to 18 hours of normal use and is recharged with an included inductive magnetic charger.

First the positives: My Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular has worked flawlessly*--even with very demanding in water/underwater use. The watch is rated to about 30 feet--which isn't bad. Two weeks ago I went free-diving on Kauai. My max depth was 44 feet (once) and the watch was unfazed. I also put the watch through a two hour 5 km ocean swim--no problem with the watch afterwards. The native app kept track of the distance, speed, and heart rate. I swim in both chorine and salt water pools--no problem for this watch. The watch keeps track of your swimming, running, biking, and walking milage--no problem. It will also count your swimming laps, average 100 time, and if cycling, your cycling speed.
It is very important to note that I purchased a cover for the watch to protect it from incidental impact:
Spigen Rugged Armor Apple Watch Case with Resilient Shock Absorption for 42mm Apple Watch Series 3 / Series 2 / 1 / Original (2015) / Nike+ Sport Edition - Black
This case has been awesome! I also use a screen protector to cover the face. I highly recommend both these steps.
Battery life is slightly better than I expected. The charging speed is pretty quick--maybe an hour from 0-100 percent. I charge it once a day. I have an Apple/Nike band and it works really well.
Being able to change watch faces is helpful--I like lots of information.
The "negatives"...or areas of potential improvement.
With every negative is a way for Apple to do things better!
I haven't figured out a way for the watch to indicate missed calls spontaneously during routine use. There should be an obvious indicator via the screen etc.
The buttons are on the watch work well--but they need a better design. If I extend my wrist doing push ups--there is pressure upon the buttons and the watch wants to call 911...even with the case/protector (above). Perhaps put the buttons on the other side of the device or make them flush with the body?
Except to test the capability, I never use bluetooth headset. Telephone conversations via the watch and it's native speaker is so so. I need the capability--and am happy about that, but the sound quality isn't that great. While, it's handy for quickly answering a call when you are busy doing stuff (and don't have your hands free to reach for your phone) you wouldn't want to use it to have an important conversation. It's no wonder that one cannot play Pandora from the watch's tiny speaker:). If you hit the watch’s Pandora App, Pandora will start playing from your phone’s speaker (or third party speaker/etc).
I really don't use many of the apps--their icons are small and their general functionality are to some extent, basic or muted.
This is my first smart watch. I bought Apple Care (with heavy in water use in mind)--but it probably was unnecessary.
I love it. Get the cellular.
I have the 1st Apple Watch they came out with and wanted to upgrade to the Series 3 Gold 42mm w/o the phone service or all the accessories sold by other sellers.
Works great with my iPhone "X" (which it should) and has a longer battery run-time than my original.
This seller had the best price I could find and received it in a few days. COMPLETELY Satisfied with this product and the seller.
I didn’t appreciate the apps on my phone until I discovered how many steps I was taking at work, showed it to my boss...
He was impressed.this new generation watch is a great tool to wear on my wrist and stylish too👍
