Look for AppleCare PLUS as the current program.
I purchased this product and damaged my iPad. When I went to the Apple Store to get a replacement I was told that I would need to pay the full item exchange price of $250.
Seller is taking advantage of Amazon's recommendations to sell out their stock of an obsolete product.
This is an incredibly outdated product. This is a disc based version of AppleCare that first came out years ago and is not longer applicable to any modern iPad product.
This was intended as a mere warranty extension (no accidental damages covered, no reduced price for damaged product replacement). Instead, look for AppleCare+ and buy directly from Apple. You might be told to take your newly purchased device to an Apple store for them to check the device before they let you get AppleCare+ for the device. I know it is costly, but it will cost you more if you buy this disc here and discover later that it is worthless.
Please stay away from this seller and this listing. I fell for it when I bought an iPad Air 2 about a year ago and did not use it because the device was to be used solely at home. Now I bought a new iPad Pro 9.7 and discovered this disc not only does not work with the current iPad, but it also would not have worked with the previous one either. Now I am stuck with this useless plastic disc that cost me 76$ (the price has gone down by a lot since then).
Bottom line: Always read very well the listing for the product you are trying to buy and never, ever, trust Amazon's "Frequently Bought Together" recommendation.
