I have just recieved this product, Did all the settings on the Intervalometer, The timer works. But when connected to the camera, it does not shoot. I have a Sony A55

I dont know what I am missing, But If there is anyone who can guide me, please feel free to comment.

I have the AP-TR1S model.

If I do not get any info , I am planning to return the product.

I have given a rating of 1, but if works i will conver it to 5, as I like the product

Update(4/28/2011): I contacted the seller. It seems the piece that I recieved was lemon, The seller promptly sent a replacement. It worked to my expecation and as per specification. I am glad I got this for my Sony A55. I am now all set for TimeLapse Photography.

Easy to use, it is a great device to use on your sony for timelaps, long exposure, time sets and more. The only thing that they really miss is a on-off button. You have to take out the batteries to turn off the device, that's the reason why I gave 4 stars.
Thanks

I'm using Sony A65 and A77. When I plug in the connection, my LCD at my camera turn blank, when I unplug the connection, it back to normal. I tried both my Sony, the result it still the same. I want my money back.

when i got this it wouldnt fit into the port on my A55, so i had to use a knife to shim it down a bit, which sucks because now it doesnt lock in. i guess i should have gone with a nicer model or OEM.

it does work, just didn't work well with my camera. as now i have to be very careful with the connector, it has fallen out a few times mid shoot :(

Great functions, works 100% perfectly for timelapses and remote shutter.
(Btw, it works as a remote shutter even without batteries)

However, it's stupid not to simply have an on/off switch, so I've just been flipping one of the batteries around when I'm not using it.

IMPORTANT: EXTREMELY tight fit into camera sometimes, my first one, after 4 months of use, literally broke off into the camera and I had to use pliers to get it out. I was informed that it was "faulty" and now have a second one- it has just as tight of a fit. Just be careful with it....

I give it 3 stars since it's really the only thing out there for timer/timelapse work.

This little unit is a must have for the camera enthusiast. It just adds so many possibilities to your camera it's well worth the money. Very easy to use and it does all it says it can do. I have made several time lapse movies with my A55. Without this product it would never happen.

This little shutter control is amazing. I can take all the time lapse sequences I want. I can take the long exposure Bulb shots I want. I can even use it as my wired remote trigger when I'm on tripod. That's the three things I LOVE about this useful doodad in my camera case that works in studio and on location.

Started the time laps picture taking at 1 per second (500 pictures approx.), then placing on a video editor, and finally reducing the time to .2 of a second each for a very hilarious video. I still need to try other types of time laps recordings when I have the time and interest. Harry P
