I have used this item a few weeks for my Samsung Instinct mobile touch screen phone - not iPhone - while teaching sailing in the Chesapeake Bay. It works perfectly as advertised. It fit snugly in my life jacket pocket, and I tied the drawstring provided to the "belt" on the jacket for added protection of slipping or falling out. For extra thin phones like mine and the iPhone, Aquapac says it might not float. In my basic quick tests (in the tub, sink and in the Bay), it floated for a second before it started to sink slowly; enough time to grab it, or jump in and get it. I think if you actually captured more air in the pouch before closing/sealing it, it might be a little better. I wish there were some kind of extra floatation in the plastic seal or the knobs themselves though. But, if you are really concerned, I'm sure you could tie a float to the top and it would be fine.
Using the touchscreen is really easy and almost like not being in a case. Texting with two hands in horizontal orientation is a little difficult with the virtual keyboard the phones have, but I just tucked the plastic seal and extra curve at the top behind the phone, and it was fine. If you have more air in the case, you will notice a little bubble while doing this, but you can always push air out before sealing it, and the screen is even easier to use.
Ringers and sounds, including actually talking on it while in the case, are great. No one noticed that I was talking through plastic and sound in my ear was normal.
Like their website says about pictures, there might be a little fog or haze, but not necessarily. My pictures were overall, except a few that reflected the sun, normal.
The phone is a little tight and sticky (glossy big screen against the case) to get in and out of the case, and mine is a little narrower than the iPhone. When I added a thin silicone cover to my phone and put it in the Aquapac, it actually slid a little better in and out.
Overall, it's great, and perfect for anyone that doesn't want to get their phone wet without a big case.

First I will say that this case Will Definately keep your phone waterproof, of course if you follow the directions. But it is extremely hard to get the iphone 3G in the case. It is very tight. I took a piece of paper and made a sleeve and got the phone in that way. But it took many attempts to get the phone in, and the "AquaPac" logo covers up the camera on one side, but if you use the other side, the blue film area covers up some of the phone settings.
Also, the 3G is so sensitive to light, that the sensors on the left side of the phone can't distinguish when you are on the phone. So it doesn't want to hang up or put the phone in the mode where it turns the screen black when you are on the phone.
You can hear through this cover if you need to make a call. All in all, it is a great company that puts out these Aquapacs, but this case is just a little too user "unfriendly"for the I-Phone. I'll use it for something else, and keep my phone away from any water!

Okay, I have had this case for almost 4 years now. It still works perfectly! Iv'e used it with many things, including a 3DS, an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 5, a samsung moment and a samsung galaxy (barely fit), an HTC Touch Pro 2, and 2 iPod Touches, 3rd and 4th generation. It fit all of them, and they sound AMAZING underwater. I even got a super high-power portable rechargeable speaker/amp and put it in and watched Bolt and Cats and Dogs 2 almost all the way through in a public swimming pool. And it works at the bottom of the 15-FT section! Pressure hurts my ears though, so I turn off the sound cause I care about my hearing. So, in general... THIS CASE IS AWESOME! (oh, and this is my first product review) The only downside is, i'm worried that those 90 dagree turn tabs might turn accidentally under-water, but that hasn't happend in all the 4 years iv'e had it.

This has proved great in watery situations. Note that I have not fully immersed it, but it has been subjected to plenty of splash damage. Case is not the most elegant thing out there, but it is not ugly either and it pretty compact for a waterproof case. It was very hard to get the iPhone into and out of the case initially, but after sliding it in several times whatever coating that prevented it easily sliding has worn sufficiently away that it is not an issue anymore (also, the company is aware of the issue). Using an iPhone 3GS.

Absolutely useless. If the one thing it's supposed to do is keep something inside dry, then it's nothing but a worthless piece of plastic. It ruined my Mino and every video I had in it.

Works well with Treo, Blackberry or iphone. Several of my friends have them and we do alot of boating/ocean fun/running, etc. Nice to keep sweat off the phone also. Buttons and touch screen function well through the case. The sound is a bit distorted for the person you are talking to.

It's a good waterproof case for the Iphone. I spend lots of time on the water and it's still working well.

This item is sold by Amazon as an iphone case, but I think it is labeled incorrectly on the website. When I received the package I noticed it was labeled "104"-(as Amazon lists the iphone case #) but was labeled also with the words "Aquapac mini phone or GPS case"-- not iphone. And yes, the iphone definitely does not fit into the case. I will contact the seller A.P.D directly tomorrow. I suspect it is an error in labeling. The iphone case pictured on Amazon with the iphone in it has contrasting fasteners. The one I recieved from APD had matching fasteners like the one labeled by Amazon as the Aquapac small phone GPS Case. Both are listed as the same price.

Excellent product

This is an excellent product, super fast delivery. It works perfect. It does exactly what it's meant to do keep your valuable waterproof. I bought this so I could go on holiday to America in the water parks and wet rides and it worked great. It kept my phone and money completely dry. No leakage at all inside the pouch. I would recommend to anyone.

Samsung s4 mini is a tight fit for width but does go in. I haven't tested it yet by dropping in a stream but it's certainly OK used slung round the neck on a pouring wet day in Cumbria.

Great

They are the best waterproof cases. Use when out cycling. Photos taken through the material aren't great but the alternative is a dedicated phone case which I don't want to have on my phone all the time.

Nettes Gadget mit Schutz vor Nässe und Feuchtigkeit
Reviewed in Germany 🇩🇪 on January 8, 2012
