Product Description
Product Overview
Ever wished your camera was waterproof? Well don’t worry, you don’t need to go splashing out on an expensive waterproof camera, all you need is an Aquapac. With one of these ingenious but inexpensive cases you can take photos not just in the rain but underwater too (for up to half an hour, to a depth of as much as 5 metres). For just £95 (You think that's expensive? Check out what other manufacturers are charging!)
Catch the splash as your kids jump in the pool. Record your chums sailing, swimming, or surfing. With the Aquapac you’ll be able to photograph safely wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do.
Product Features and Benefits
The Aquapac is made of a thin but remarkably tough material called TPU. Thin enough that you can operate all the controls normally. While the optically-clear acrylic lens makes for great image quality. Even underwater. Put "Shot using Aquapac” into your search engine and you’ll find loads of images taken by customers through their Aquapacs.
The patented Aquaclip® sealing system opens and closes with a simple twist of three levers. And everything stays in one piece even when open.
The case is quite light - only 272g including the comfortable shoulderstrap.
Extended Warranty/Guarantee
Wondering about a cheaper case from another company? Well what warranty are they offering you? Aquapac combines an unrivalled Full 5-Year Warranty* with exceptional after-sales service. We very much doubt you’ll get anything like it from any other brand.
(*According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act 1975 a warranty must be described as either “Full” or “Limited”. These terms are very strictly defined. If a warranty isn’t described as one or the other, then beware. Similarly you should beware of so-called “Lifetime” warranties where Lifetime may actually mean no longer than their estimate of the expected life of the product.)

Here are my ten tips to having success with the Aquapac bag:
1. If you at all plan on shooting underwater you need to be wearing goggles or a diving mask if you want be able to look through the view finder.
2. I would only use a prime lens because of how much wiggle room is in the bag over the lens portion. I'd want to be able to rubber band the bag exactly right and then leave it alone, which I don't think you can do with an adjustable lens.
3. Get your settings right before you put the camera into the bag. For a bright day, ISO of 800, f/11.0 and a shutter of 1/1000 worked well for me.
4. When you're putting your camera in, be very gentle when inching the lens cover portion over your lens. It's easy to throw the lens switch from auto to manual while putting the camera into the bag.
5. Unless your lens is 100+ mm and takes up all of the space, you'll need an extra-wide rubber band, like the kind that come wrapped around newspapers. Inch the lens portion of the plastic down until the hard lens cover meets your lens, and then rubber band it around the soft plastic portion to hold the bag to your camera.
6. It's absolutely necessary that you put all 3 moisture absorbing packets into the camera bag when you're using it, or the lens will fog and you can't focus and can't see.
7. If you're in a pool where water is being splashed around, or you're going under and coming back up, don't forget to wipe the water droplets off the lens covering or they'll be in your photos.
8. If you're going to submerge it, do the bubble test first. Put it part way under and a few bubbles will come up from the air trapped where the locks are, but that should be all. No more bubbles after that.
9. Periodically check your camera's dial to make sure you haven't accidentally changed modes. My camera easily went from M to A-DEP while I fumbled to find the shutter button in the water.
10. If you want to make one of those really cool half-under half-over water pictures you can't do it at a public pool on the weekend. You have to do it somewhere that the water is nearly smooth as glass, not where the waves are crashing in your face.

This one is hardly tougher than a polythene bag! There is no way I would trust my SLR in the water in this flimsy bag.
