Great service..will use again..
Granted, it is indeed true that the temperature gauge isn't totally on the money. 84 degrees may actually produce 86-degree water. You have to have a thermometer. I had this heater in my 55-gallon with another heater and never had a problem. When I had an ich outbreak, the two together did a great job of keeping the water at 87 degrees.
Today I moved the heater to the other side of the tank. There was no trauma to the tube, but when I plugged it back in, it began to make a knocking noise. At first I thought it was the filter or the glass on my tank cracking. It knocks when the light is on, when it's heating. I just can't afford to have a disaster in my tank with glass and electricity, so I have removed it. I have read about this and I am not the first person to hear their Aqueon knock. It's often accompanied by condensation inside the tube. The noise is enough to make me toss this thing in the trash before it does damage. It's disappointing, because until today, I thought it was the perfect heater.
EDIT: A week later, I have it in a tank I'm cycling, and it hasn't been knocking. I'm not going to change the number of stars I gave it, because I don't entirely trust this heater. For the moment, it's working perfectly. I don't feel comfortable putting it back into my glass 55-gallon though.

Works wonderfully. Keeps the temperature right where I need it to be. I love to be able to submerse it fully into the water.Published 7 days ago by FRANK GOMEZ
I had one before and worked about a year. Then it got a leak and filled with water. Bought a new one here, and it came with condensation already inside. Read morePublished 7 days ago by crunchies

I just cannot recommend this product. When it worked, it worked wonderfully, however there seems to be a serious quality control problem. Read morePublished 12 days ago by N. Olson
I gave it 4 stars because after about a year the suction cups stopped working, something about the rubber. Read morePublished 16 days ago by Chris
