Right out of the bag, even before it was washed, this thing was amazing. I have very curly hair that goes past my shoulders, and as you curly girls know, hair like that can be very temperamental if it's not treated just so. I use the dreadfully-named, but effective, Deva Curl No Poo shampoo and the Deva Curl One Condition. Then, the touch-and-go post-shower routine. If my hair is too wet when I put in gel, the water weighs it down and it sets flat. If it's too dry, the gel doesn't distribute and my hair turns to a half-straight, half-afro abomination. This towel gets it just dry enough, right out of the shower, so I can gel it up and scrunch before I start getting dressed. I never could get my hair to just this perfect dryness level with a terry towel.
One tip: If you have to apply product to your hair while it's still wet, as most curly girls do, you've got to do it right after using the Aquis. It soaks up so much water that your hair will start air-drying right away, and if you wait 10 minutes, you'll have missed the moment -- it'll be too dry to apply product to.
Using it is simple. I turn my sopping, dripping head upside down and use the Aquis to blot/scrunch a ton of water out of it.Read more ›
I plan on buying more of these towels to keep on hand to put in gift baskets along with some candles and bath goodies for quick gift giving.
I liked the idea of the hair turbans that came out a few years ago, but realistically they never quite fit. For me the loops and buttons and such were not in quite the right place for my particular head. A flat towel works much better for me. It is nice and long so I can make my own turban.
I have two different brands of these hair towels. The Aquis one is much softer than the other one.
I confess that I pretty much ignore any special laundry instructions. I figure it lives in the bathroom, it must be laundered with the other bath towels with no special care. So far it is holding up well under that arrangement.
- Super absorbent
- Small and portable, great for travel
- Well made, quality and amazing detail
- Very light
- Not as bulky as a regular towel so it takes up very little space in the washer
- Dries much quickly than a terry
- Price is a bit steep
I have fairly thick hair that goes about 2-3 inches past my shoulders and I can wrap my head and make a turban with this towel. If my hair was any longer or thicker, I might have some trouble. So if your hair is very long or very thick, go for the body towel. Otherwise, this size is great and I think it's well worth the money.

This is my third Aquis hair towel. I have super thick, curly hair. This towel soaks up excess water without vigorous rubbing, which cuts down on the frizz.Published 1 day ago by Andrea Zalewski
For fine, straight hair, Aquis is the answer. NOTHING is better for faster drying and no hair breakage. Have used the microfiber for years when my daughter got it for me. Read morePublished 6 days ago by Amazon Customer

It's too small! If you have thick or very long hair (past shoulders), this doesn't work so well. Drying-wise, it does seem to help more than a regular towel.Published 21 days ago by C. Lee
