If you are interested in Saudi influence over the U.S. then read Chapters 1, 12, 15 and the epilogue. The book goes wildly off topic at times and devolves into just an anthology of Israeli lobbyists countering Saudi lobbyists.

Saudi Arabia poses existential threat to American way of life

No, this is not Islamophobia. Nor is it scare-mongering. This is the subject of a book, Saudi Arabia and the Global Islamic Terrorist Network-America and the West's Fatal Embrace, edited by Sarah N. Stern. The book comprises a series of essays by a number of Middle East experts, such as R. James Woolsey, Steven Emerson, Bat Ye'or, Sarah Stern herself and many more. The authors of these essays describe and meticulously document the financial support for radical Islamic ideas that are subverting our democracy, creating home grown terrorists and influencing the minds of our children.
These essays demonstrate how the tentacles of Saudi Arabian radical Islamic culture penetrate our culture. The preface of the book notes that a memo written by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton, says that Saudi Arabian donors `constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.' Yet many of our politicians describe Saudi Arabia as our `moderate ally.' Saudi funding for present and past politicians may provide the answer for this.
More insidious, though, is the funding that Harvard University received, $20 million, from the Saudi donors. The donors demand that the Middle Eastern studies programs are taught by Middle Easterners, but not Israelis or Jews. Islamic organizations also fund materials and study centers which develop the materials for K through 12 teachers. How did this happen? Through the National Defense Education Act (aka Title VI of the Higher Education Act), regional study centers are required to provide teacher training workshops. These training workshops enable many teachers to receive continuing education credits and thereby, higher salaries. The problem here is that materials are provided by the Saudis and espouse anti-American and anti-Semitic positions.
The Saudis and other radical Islamic governments and organizations extend their tentacles into the United States. The aims of these organizations are to create a radical Islamic caliphate and impose Sharia law under every territory under their domination. I have only summarized a few of the highlights presented in these essays. In order to fully understand the subversion of our country, this book is a must read. Buy it now!

Not a good place to start, but a good supplement to other sources

Saudi Arabia and the Global Islamic Terrorist Network is an excellent introduction to a particular kind of thinking that emerged after September 11, 2001, but is not in itself an excellent book. Some of the chapters cover topics more thoroughly discussed in book length treatments: "The Scandal of U.S.-Saudi Relations," by Daniel Pipes is a good primer, but can't compete with Secrets of the Kingdom: The Inside Story of the Saudi-U.S. Connection , by Gerald Posner. Likewise, Steven Emerson's chapter, "Who is Behind the Muslim Mainstream Organizations," can't hold a candle to Hatred's Kingdom: How Saudi Arabia Supports the New Global Terrorism by Dore Gold. A collection of essays like this is most useful where the chapters tackle a narrow topic that is infrequently covered in full-length books: "The `Green Corridor,' Myth or Reality," by Srjda Trifkovic thoroughly documents Islamist expansionism in the Balkans, though the chapter fails to definitively tie Saudi Arabia to the phenomenon. "Their Oil is Thicker Than Our Blood," by Rachel Ehrenfeld is to me the most useful essay, offering a comprehensive overview of Saudi financing for Islamist groups through `charitable' organizations.

One of the Most Important Policy Books You Will Read This Year

This book is as scary as Stephen King and as brilliant as Stephen Hawking. Prepare to be flabbergasted and appalled at the extraordinary power and influence of extremist Saudi terror-mongers. This book is written by a who's who of experts on the Middle East and terrorism. The portrait that they draw is more disturbing than anything you will see in the mainstream media. This book is not cheap, but it is totally worth the price. It is amazing that this book has not yet received broader coverage. The editor, Sarah Stern, is a long-time Washington insider, so the book tends to be skewed more towards policy than most.
