I found that the grind was almost too fine to work properly in my particular Moka pot. Too much was making it through the filter and therefore into my cup.
I found a simple solution where I use a pour-over coffee filter to further filter the finished brew. It is one extra step but the results have been worth it.
The flavor is smooth, rich, and I find it has just a hint of caramel. illy says chocolate too but I do not notice it myself.
I have only ever tried the illy Moka in one Moka pot so I can not say my problem with the fine grind would be the same for others. When I grind my own beans I leave them slightly more course and I don't need the extra filter but the illy is ready to go and convenient for use when I don't have the extra time to mix and grind my own blend.
Four stars for a great tasting pre-ground (and therefore more convenient) medium roast.

OLD product, disappointing

Old product, at least a year old. I ordered the moka pot grind 10/22/19 and received grind that expires 01/2020. In comparison, the moka grind I got from Bed Bath and Beyond in September (2019) has an expiration date of 02/2021. Not happy that I paid full price for old product. Won't be purchasing again.
