Product description

Aranyik is the original and only manufacturer for coconut deusking tongs. Spring steel is welded to industrial rebar. The rebar is also forged flat and machined for a large 1/4" nut. The nut is forged set at the proper tension for the tongs to operate smoothly. To use tongs, simply stab the coconut and open the tongs. Beginners may need several stabs, but with practice you can dehusk a coconut in 1 stab. These tongs are not designed to be used with young drinking coconuts, the pressure exerted will in most cases crack the inner shell. Instead use this for dehusking older coconuts that will be used for the meat in coconut milk or oil production.

If you have coconuts, get this tool

If you have a coconut palm or have access to coconuts, you want this device. Dehusking mature coconuts is a joke. Here in the tropics, people ignore fallen coconuts as they are too hard to open. One pf my neighbors insists the most efficient method is to run the nut over with his truck!
My old method involved a hammer, a catspaw crowbar, usually a helping hand, and took at least 10 minutes of hard work to pry off the husk. With this tool, I can easily remove the husk in two minutes. Place a nut on the ground, stab the husk and push the handles apart, the husk splits pulling the fiber along. Turn the nut over and repeat the process several times. The loosened sections of husk can be pulled off along with the fiber. You have a nut ready to be pierced, drained and cracked. BTW I am an old lady with a bad arm and arthritis! This device works!
