Top Customer Reviews
1. The padding between the goggles and your face is made of just a standard grey foam kind of like the stuffing in a mattress. Its not bad, I just think that a rubber foam would have provided a much more comfortable fit.
2. The nose piece can sometimes be a little uncomfortable. This is not noticeable for the most part, but it can sometimes feel annoying. I think this area, or even the entire frame for that matter could have been bendable and rubberized like swimming goggles and it would have been much more comfortable.
3. They fog up pretty quick if you are not on your moped or bike. I pulled over today to put some air in my tires and they started fogging up by the time I was about to leave. If you are on the road, you get good air flow in the goggles, but you better take them off when your not on your bike.
They fit over medium eyeglasses without a problem. They can fog up, but with the vents they clear up really fast. they only fog when large bloom of steam get in them, or when leaving the freezer after being in there awhile. On my scooter they shield my eyes, and keep my glasses on my face. If I turn my head far enough, air will rush into the vents. Its not a problem to me, but some might find it uncomfortable while riding.
Over all, I love these things.
I added gaffers' tape (like soft, durable duct tape) over the vents and around the middle and that helped a lot. I wouldn't buy them again, but I will add more padding and wear them next time. If you're not crafty, I would try to find goggles you can try on before purchasing. Then again, if you just want to wear them on the top of your head to look cool, these will do the trick :P
The foam around the eyes is borderline sub par. It lasted for the run, but I noticed that the adhesive bond was beginning to diminish around the corners of the foam at the end of our day. I got colored corn starch toss all over me, and I didn't have an issue of it getting in the vented areas. In addition to that, I ran most of the 5k, walked a little bit, danced through the rest, and I didn't have any problems with fogging.
After prolonged use the goggles started to bother me around my cheekbones, but I think that would have been the same story with most eyewear when wearing them for hours at a time. My boyfriend complained that the goggles bothered the bridge of his nose a bit. The bridge of his nose protrudes out more than mine does, so I didn't have that problem after I adjusted the straps. After he loosened his straps, he said they were still a little uncomfortable but were bearable. We wore them for about 3 or 4 hours. I guess if you have a honker for a nose, these goggles might not be the best option for you.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. They weren't expensive, so I believe I got what I paid for. I rounded my rating up from 3 1/2 stars because half stars aren't an available option to users on Amazon.
