The FPG-1005 is a multi camera fit L-Bracket. An L-Bracket allows a camera to be mounted onto a tripod with an Arca-Swiss Compatible head in the landscape or portrait orientation. The Fusion L-Bracket features our exclusive Tilting Bracket that allows the bracket to unlock and tilt away from the camera body giving the photographer access to the ports on the side of the camera. The Deployable Attachment loop allows a BlackRapid Strap or sling style strap to be connected to the plate allowing the photographer to move quickly between a tripod and carry strap.

I purchased this L-bracket for use on my Canon Rebel T7i. So, it doesn't fit as perfectly as it would on the larger Canon cameras it is intended for. But with a little adjusting it works fine for me. Very sturdy, well built, with some nice extra features like the tilting side piece. the blackrapid sling attachment point and the nifty, magnetic, onboard storage spot for the hex wrench for making adjustments and tightening. I had never owned or used an L-bracket before. Now after a couple of months using it I couldn't imaging photographing on a tripod without one! I highly recommend this L-bracket if you have a large, full-frame Canon DSLR camera or equivalent.
I am converting to the Arca-Swiss quick release system from the Manfrotto RC2 QR. I've used an L bracket for years that has blocked access to the camera ports on the left side of my Nikon bodies. In looking for a new L bracket, my requirements in order of priority were 1. Arca-Swiss clamp compatibility, 2. BlackRapid sling compatibility and 3. access to the camera ports. The Fusion L bracket meets all of my requirements fully and well. The Really Right Stuff ball head that I use, mates with the L bracket with no problems, the deployable loop on the bottom of the L bracket lets the BlackRapid sling attach to the camera body bottom and the tiltable foot of the "L" is a clever implementation that allows me to open and connect to the camera electronics. The magnetically stowed Allen wrench that allows the mounting screw and the tiltable foot screw to be tightened is an ingenious solution to "where's that wrench".
