"5 stars!!! Read this book, guys!! Archer's Voice was one of the most heartwarming and uniquely beautiful stories I have ever read. Mia Sheridan's ability to convey strong emotions and vivid imagery through her writing is absolutely captivating. This was a gorgeous tale of survival and the healing power of love. I strongly encourage everyone to read it!! Without a doubt, it is now one of my top favorite books!"―Aestas Book Blog
"5 stars! Flawlessly and poignantly written, Bree and Archer's heart-wrenching but truly beautiful love story touched my heart in so many exquisite ways, I felt ruined at the end of it... In a world that celebrates 'bad boys' and their antics, Archer Hale stands as a God among men."―Natasha is a Book Junkie
"5 stars! Best book of the year...From silly sweetness to intense hurt and jealousy to sorrow and heartache (and not necessarily in that order), this story has it all. And this author does it right!"―Maryse's Book Blog
"5 Star Gold! Inspiring, uplifting and raw in [its] intensity. The author makes you feel like you are right there experiencing every flashback and triumph, and she will have readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish."―RT Book Reviews on Most of All You
"Mia Sheridan is, without a doubt, one of the most talented authors I've ever read. Her stories are unique, her writing is beautiful, and I've loved every single book she's written. Grayson's Vow was no exception."―Aestas Book Blog

Overall Opinion: This is definitely one of my all time favorite books! The H, Archer, is the best! I think it would've been easy to make his character into a beta male because of his life, but I LOVE how Ms. Sheridan made him have automatic alpha-male tendencies! It's not a huge secret that I'm not big on beta males even when I feel for their trauma, so this was kind-of a huge deal for me in making me love his character! I also love the stories where two damaged souls find peace and happiness in each other, and I think Ms. Sheridan is one of (if not the) best at creating these stories. If you've been living under a rock ;) and haven't checked out this book yet -- you need to meet you're new ultimate book boyfriend, Archer, ASAP!

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Bree and Archer's story. Bree is on the run from her past, and ends up in a small town in Maine. She learns about the town mystery man by bumping into him one day, and is instantly drawn to him. After some awkward encounters, they form a friendship of sorts that eventually turns into more. Both of them carry a lot of baggage from their traumatic pasts that they have to work through, they have some sexy times, and they fall in love...and get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Bree (mostly) and Archer's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 5+ stars! I think he has to be one of my all time favorite Hs! He is so innocent, naive, and sweet -- BUT he also has an instinctive possessiveness and alpha-maleness (probably not a word)...so he becomes the best type of dichotomy to make the perfect bbf!
h rating: 4 stars. Bree. I liked her. She was a super kind person at heart, and I love how she saw something in Asher and didn't give up.
Sadness level: I didn't cry this go-round, but I remember crying the first time I read it.
Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.
Descriptive sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Closure: It had great closure with a jump ahead epilogue and a HEA ending.
How I got it: I paid $3.99 for it on Amazon back in 2014
I’ve been in a bit of a book funk lately. I’ve read some really good books lately, like REALLY GOOD. But something inside me just wasn’t triggered like it has been in the past. That true love of the story was just … missing for me. This book has been on my TBR for ages & a friend MADE me try it out (Thank you Sophie, btw). This book had so much heart & it truly made me feel.
Archer Hale has lived in his small town since he was a boy. Isolated after an accident, he becomes a strange anomaly to the townsfolk. Everyone has an opinion about what’s wrong with him, how “crazy” he is, or what his intentions are. Nobody has ever gotten close to the man who doesn’t speak. He’s an outcast. When Bree Prescott comes to town, she isn’t hindered by the past of rumors spread throughout the town, and when she meets Archer by chance, she sees him as just … a person.
As the story, and their relationship, develops, we begin to see what is hidden beneath both Bree & Archer. Each have a past riddled with secrets and pain that neither of them deserved. Let me just say that the heart hidden within Archer is so painfully beautiful. “I didn’t know enough to dream you, Bree, but somehow you came true anyway. How did that happen? … Who read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted, even when I didn’t?” Really?! Who says this AND MEANS IT?! Archer Hale, that’s who. He works his way toward love in the most beautiful way. And Bree? She may not have as many flowery quotes to share, but the way she defends Archer, believes in him, and never ceases to see all the beauty within him. She is a woman who, although makes mistakes, has the strength of love I’ve always wanted to have.
If you haven’t tried Mia yet, please do. She paints an exquisite picture of imperfect love that is made perfect by the people who share it.
“And her love slips quietly around me, holding me, anchoring me, reminding me that the loudest words are the ones we live.“
"It's just... life. And no matter who we are, we have to take the hand we're dealt, crappy though it may be, and try our very best to move forward anyway, to love anyway, to have hope anyway... to have faith that there's a purpose to the journey we're on."
Archer's Voice is this amazing, heartbreaking book that brings us the story of a small-town love that's nothing but small; a story of two broken people trying to heal while trudging through the mess that's known as life. Bree and Archer have been through so much in their life, have been hurt by strangers and loved ones, abandoned by everyone that matters, and still they are both stars that shine so bright in their story.
Bree is shining with her kind spirit, lovely soul and always ready laugh; Archer, on the other side, has shy but intelligent eyes, calloused hands but gentle touch, not talking, but having a lot to say.
"I stand by my logic, though. I think love is a concept, and each person has an individual word for what sums it up for them. My word for love is Bree."
And they are shining this another light that's dimmed at the beginning, but becoming brighter and brighter the more they love: the light of the strength they both have, the strength they both have to find.
"And try to believe that maybe more light shines out of those who have the most cracks."
This is their story: the story of broken people shining with their strength and silent people learning that what they have to say is important. We are all the same. And we're all worth it.
"And I thought to myself, Archer Hale's voice was one of the most beautiful things in the whole wide world."
