Swifty the Arctic Fox (Jeremy Renner) works in the mail room of the Arctic Blast Delivery Service but dreams of one day becoming a Top Dog (the Arctic’s star husky courier). To prove himself worthy of the Top Dog role, Swifty secretly commandeers one of the sleds and delivers a mysterious package to a secret location. He stumbles upon a hidden fortress, where he comes face to face with Otto Von Walrus (John Cleese), a blubbery evil genius, who walks around on mechanical legs and commands a loyal army of oddly polite puffin henchmen. Swifty soon discovers Otto Von Walrus’ plan to drill beneath Arctic surface to unleash enough ancient gas to melt the Arctic, in order to reign as the world’s supreme leader.

Swifty

Swifty is a small Arctic Fox who has big aspirations to run with the big dogs who deliver the post via sled. Voiced by Jeremy Renner, Swifty finds that he is anything but ordinary. When put the test, it’s up to Swifty and his pals to save the day and save the town!

Jade

Jade is a red fox who is a tough as nails mechanic. Voiced by Heidi Klum, Jade is one of Swifty’s oldest friends and one smart cookie.

I know that this movie flopped in the theater, but perhaps it is more a movie to set your kids in front of. The animation is well done, and the moral of 'make the best use of your attributes, and don't try to be what you're not' is great. There isn't a lot of real depth, and the villain is rather James Bond-ish, but the voices are wonderful.

Enjoy this film... just for the fun of it! I might mention: A lot of animated features are as much for an adult audience as a juvenile one. I don't think that was the intention, here. Even so, I enjoyed it immensely. I just had to not expect something aimed at my age level.

All in all, just a cute film!

It gets a star knocked off for including the manufactured e-waste that is DVDs. It also gets a star knocked off for not including the 3D version of the movie when one existed in theaters. Other then that, the movie itself is a cute, feel-good adventure with some eye catching animation. Swifty is an energetic and playful spirited fox, motivated to obtain a more meaningful and recognized position at his local Post Office. None of the characters are overly annoying or cheesy and the movie strikes a nice balance of light hearted humor and sincerity while still delivering an exciting adventure the whole family can enjoy. Overall a fantastic movie for younger audiences and worth watching if your a 3D animation enthusiasts.
