If you are re-installing or upgrading your processor you must have this. During the heaviest duty usage on my desktop my temperatures stay well within the safe range. Heat transference is excellent. Not the best. But price to performance you can't go wrong. Also the silver in the name doesn't refer or imply color. It's the brand name.
