"This may be the first book about Thunberg, but with the youth mobilization for the upcoming Global Climate Strike in September, it almost certainly won't be the last."-Publishers Weekly

"Our biosphere is being sacrificed so that rich people in countries like mine (GT) can live in luxury. It is the suffering of the many which will pay for the luxuries of the few...We need to focus on equity." This sums up so much of the drive behind this entire issue. The people and corporations that want to ignore this as a problem are willingly doing so by disregarding the clear science and out of greed. Meanwhile the inequity grows larger. This will only hasten the problem rather than help it. As was pointed out, one of the key factors in mass immigration is climate change. No longer having a climate that allows stability, growth of crops, clean water, access to adequate food and jobs all become the driving forces behind violence and migration patterns. The increase in climate disasters add to this as well. This is an informative, well written book. It has terrific illustrations and a good, simple message about our personal ability to act in a way that can make positive change. I feel like the message is appropriately written for the intended audience as well as adults who are interested in this topic and need a synopsis. What great courage and intelligence to develop a plan and move forward as Greta is doing.
We should all be Greta.
Highly Recommend.

This is a short book explaining how Greta got started on her drive to change the world, climate change, and ways to reduce waste. I quite enjoyed this book. I knew nothing about Greta outside of that she was a climate activist. This book explains climate change in simple, easy to understand terms. It does a great job at expressing how important it is to take action now against climate change and to push lawmakers to do something.
I really recommend reading this book. It's a great start on understanding climate change and some basic things people can do to help reduce waste.

Since we have only about 12 years before climate change is irreversible, this is a very timely book.
Well written, with examples of what to do, as well as what has to happen, and what has happened.
Highly recommended.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
Up until I heard how hard Greta worked to get to New York without flying, I had never heard of her. This book explains her background, as well as ways to fight climate change, big and small.

I like the idea of this book and will be reading it both myself and to my pupils at school but it would be nice if it had a few illustrations and colour in it to make it more appealing to younger children.
