I was initially very pleased with these pedals. They felt very sold and the folding mechanism seemed elegant. However the first problem was that they didn't spin very freely, and there's no obvious way to loosen or lubricate them.
They are also fairly smooth, and as such, a little slippery in wet weather. The larger problem is that while much of the pedal is aluminum, some of the cogs for the folding action are plastic. Some road grit must have gotten into them and some internal parts shattered on folding. A few weeks later, the aluminum part of that pedal broke too. These lasted about 1,000 miles which doesn't feel like enough, given the high price. The Suntour folding pedals (suntour folding pedals) that came on the bike failed after about 2,000 miles, and the Action pedals (ACTION PEDAL FOLDING ALLOY 9/16 SILVER/BLACK.) lasted about 1,500 miles. I will keep trying different brands until I can find a folding pedal that can stand up to a big guy who puts a lot of miles on a folding bike.
